Hi,

I have a query related to PCC. PSK denied issuing the PCC on current passport as my spouse name is not added in my passport. They have asked me to get the passport updated first. I have to send the PCC by 10th Nov, so I don't have time to get the passport updated.

As per CIC guidelines now I have take PCC from SSP office in Punjab as my permanent address is in Punjab but I am currently residing in Noida and have also stayed in Maharashtra in last 10 years

So would the PCC from Punjab be sufficient or do I need additional PCC from Noida as well?

Get PCC from the place where you are currently staying as it will be easier for verification. Since you are staying out of Punjab from the last 10-12 years, hence they will not be able to provide with your PCC.

I have requested the SSP office at my native in Chd, but they said they will not be able to provide me with the PCC and then i got it done from SSP office Delhi.

If anyone has different experience, please share

Few days back someone said that today CIC will not work as it's thanksgiving day today. Well he is partially correct. As Canada's federal & provincial rules are different there holidays also differ. Today is nationwide holiday except for NB(New Brunswick), NL(New foundland & Labrador), NS(Nova Scotoa) and PE(Prince Edward Island). So today is working day for Nova Scotia.

A lot of the people (including myself - June 20th applicant) believe that the last update was based on the completeness check, which was up until Mid July. We will be able to validate this in the up coming days.

What you are saying might be correct.. Because I read in some post that couple of applications from July 2nd week are returned because they lacked completeness. If that's the case, July 1st week application might have crossed that stage already then

Dear Senior,

this morning i asked you question regarding photograph of dependent children, you replied this is mandatory.
Thanks a lot for your kind reply but i already submitted my application on 20-08-2014(received) for NOC -2131 without attaching pictures of my daughter 7 months old. When i was preparing my docs then i read in cic website dependent children over 18 yrs need to attach pictures but that page i can not find now.
kindly suggest me what can i do.

I hope you have included your daughter's Passport while sending your application.

Photograph for applicant and dependent is mandatory, I would suggest to go through the document check list-5612E.

Please send your daughter's photograph as asked in the document check list and send them asap.

Also, send a cover note stating why you missed sending it earlier.

Hi All,

In my application for 2171 (received date 9/25), I had sent my manager's letter, salary slips, service hours summary, work contracts, and affidavit as proof of experience. However, now after much persuading, my company has provided me an official letter with roles, responsibilities, "full time" status, and designation, on a company letterhead with signature of the Director of my division. This letter will remove all doubts about my experience.

Now, do you suggest I send this document to CIC? I am worried if my application submission date gets modified to when this letter reaches - I know some folks have told it doesn't, but want to check in with someone who did it and had no issue.

Secondly, how should I proceed with sending this letter? Here's what I'm thinking I should do:
1. Email them (at CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca.) and say that I have this particular additional letter and ask whether I should send it. What should be the subject? - I read somewhere we need to say something like "Attention required/response required".
2. Wait for 30 days for their response
3. Send the letter (courier) and also scan & send it - asking for acknolwedgement

Also, shall I send it now - or shall I wait for 6 weeks after the application had been received by CIC. Their website asks to wait for 6 weeks, here's the transcript:

"You will not receive a reply to your email if:
- you have not already applied as a federal skilled worker;
- you are not authorized by the applicant to receive personal information;
- you applied within the last six weeks; or
- your enquiry concerns a topic other than your case."

Please help! Any help will be much much appreciated! Thank you!

cant you provide you marraige certificate instead of adding spouse name in the passport?
