Hi Seniors, :D

I'm a FSW 2014 Applicant to NOC1112(file received at 7/28/2014)
I'm wondering if I can make it in the cap limit since it's already 741(10/10/2014) :o

And btw, do I have to inquire of CIC about the progress of my file? or just wait?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards.

Dear Unknown,

I think it wouldn't matter if you put a cover letter or not because they will just reject the other when you apply for another one. If I were you, I'll take my chances on submitting an additional document rather than submitting a new file. Let's hear other seniors take on this.

Hi bosschips,
I'm not quite sure i understand you correctly, so you mean, even if my first application went through, after they receive my second application, they will reject the first one or just return the second one? i highly doubt that the cic officer responsible the completeness check will check in the system after they receive an application to see if this application is already in there. if my guess is right, they will just start charging my credit card if they believe this application package is complete and in the cap. so if i'm lucky, my first application went through and is running in there system to the next step, after they receive my second one, they will charge it and try to put it in the system, but unluckily, there is already one in the system with the same UCI, what are they gonna do? refund and return the second one or cancel the first one if there's no cover letter explaining this?

Dear Underscore,

If you are sending a 2nd application and the 1st one push through, best thing to do is block the CC transaction of the 2nd one. Although, I think they will allow double applications and they are logical enough to not do anything to the 2nd application once you already are successful in the first attempt in their system. Just my 2 cents. :-)

Just to confirm before i post this - I just work as a designer for this client from Ontario, Canada.

My client has created a long list of 3700+ businesses in Canada who actively hire candidates across all the NOC's mentioned in FSWP. He has started this service, which allows candidates to submit their resume and reach out to the company headhunters and Human Resource managers for reviews and if interested employment with the companies. The service is available at -

http://www.mycanadianresume.com

Since i designed this, i had a word with the owners and we got 10 USD OFF on all packages especially for Canada Visa Forum members, the Discounted order page is found at - www.mycanadianresume.com/canadavisaforum-discount/

So, just in case you want to know what are the service offerings it is here - http://www.mycanadianresume.com/services

And if you order, save some dollars using the discounted price offering.

Pass on to members looking to use services.

It does not matter if you have not received PR or not yet in Canada, businesses in Canada are used to hiring via Skype interviews. And it will help your own PR application if you get a job there.

Any queries can be sent out to - contact@mycanadianresume.com

Guys, what is the significance of GCMS notes? Is the note mandatory for the submission to CIC/VO at any stage of review? or the note is merely for our individual record purpose?

Hi bosschips,
you are right that blocking CC transaction is an effective way to avoid double charging. since you mentioned that if you were me, you would send those additional document alone just to hope CIC will add it to my first application, well i did think about that, but i just can't convince myself that this is a secure way, no one can guarantee that additional documents can be added to the initial package, i once called CIC call center, feedback is that they cannot guarantee citing they receive hundreds of applications daily, they can't process them and try to find your first application in the mountain of applications. so i think rather than hassle with CIC, why not just send a second application, since 2133 doesn't look like it will fill up in October.

Hi Team,

Need some help.

One of my friends has done GNIIT 3 years course in India. In participation with Kuvempu University, NIIT offered lateral entry for Bachelors Degree (BSC IT) to him. Which enabled them to get that 3 years bachelors degree in 2 years time. So now he got GNIIT cert for 3 years and a Bachelors Degree from Kuvempu.

My question is does WES recognize this as equivalent to Bachelors Degree?

Can he apply for Masters Course in Canada?

How many points he can claim for education while applying for Express entry 2015.

Appreciate your help here

Very helpful information. Thanks a lot and +1 to u

Today is holiday in Nova Scotia, because it's Sunday evening now in NS. :)
but tomorrow is not holiday in there. so we can expect to see a little movement in ss whether more 2174 can get charged to prove theories here that the 1000 number on website is just CIC's token of kind heart by showing to future applicants that new application will be in vain, just don't waste time.

your passport must be from a different city than the centre where you are applying for the pcc. That's why police verification is required.
I have passport issued in Ahmedabad and I have applied for PCC from Ahmedabad only. Also staying on same address since 1982... Don't know why request sent to commissioner office etc. ::) ??? :o

For your wife's PCC, once u receive her passport after renewal, since the address would be the same as ur residing address and since police verification would already be done during renewal, PSK will provide u with PCC on the same day as u apply. So u need not worry about waiting for a month. All the best!

Hi Seniors and folks applied from NDVO.

I got the request for MR, PCC & RPRF on 9th and they gave me 45 days to provide all the above details before deadline.

I have few problems:

- My HK PCC will take 3-4 weeks and it will reach directly to the consulate
- Wife's passport is gone for renewal and it will take a week. Post that she will get the PCC which will take another 1 month

Now I'm worried whether I'll be able to send all the pre-requisite within the time lines. Or is there any way I can get some extension from NDVO.

Please advice.

Hello Seniors,
I wanted to know that after receiving the PER if I inform the CIC and the NDVO about my wife's pregnancy, does it delay the process of receiving the MR or the entire process gets slowed down.
Another thing how would I know that the file has reached the NDVO other than the ECAS status update.
Please help me out seniors as I am a bit worried about my case as I want to know what is the process ahead and what is the next step ahead.

Thanking all the seniors for helping me out
