Seniors,

I have a colleague who is about to send his application for FSW. However, he is concerned that he might have a problem in the medical exam since he has an amputated thumb due to accident.

Will it affect his application?

My initial assessment is it will not have a negative impact. Please advice.

Ask him to send his application ASAP. It won't affect his application. BTW, what's his NOC? Some HOT NOCs are already filling up fast.

URL: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/who.asp
Read the following Reasons for inadmissibility:
health grounds – if their condition is likely to:
endanger public health or public safety, or
cause excessive demands on health or social services (some exceptions exist – see notes 2 and 3)

If you wanted to send your spouse ielts then i will suggest you to send with application...
If you are claiming 67 points then you can send your file without spouse ielts

This call will depend on which NOC you are applying & how confident you are on selfcalculated points.

If CAP is not an issue and/or you are not confident for points, I would suggest wait & send all documents together along with wife's IELTS.

If CAP is filling fast before you get the test result, send your file right away & later on send the wife's IELTS. there is no guarantee that they will be able to combine your documents but in some cases many guys have sent updated docs..

as NOC 2174 ( Computer programmers and interactive media developers ) reached cap , i feel processing will improve in the coming weeks.....
