Was this a reply for an email you sent? Or did they take the initiative for sending the email to you by themselves ?

I did not send any enquiry. I just received it while waiting for my eligibility review email. What does it mean then? Seniors please help!

This only means that this is the last year of the FSW - that goes on to the end of April 2015.

The EE will run in parallel of the FSW from January to April 2015.

Could you please clarify further? Once the Express Entry starts can we still apply under the current FSW system? When is the end date for applying under the current system?

+1 for the CAP update :)

This will calm a lot of peoples nerves. The update number is along the expected lines.

That is the email I received from them stating the points they awarded for me. In the email it states "I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada." Then on the last part there's a note stating "NOTE: Your application has been placed in process, therefore; no refund of the processing fees will be issued."

Khaleesi: Not sure if this is an option that you can exercise, but recommend consulting the seniors or outside counsel if you can request for a Substituted Evaluation (positive).

The new CAP update is very optimistic. only 442 new PER's and we moved 13 days in June, that's really good. the number of files in June is much less May and the SS is really reflecting the truth. very happy and optimistic to be in CAP

Uhm maybe your file is already transferred to the Local visa office. Because from that stage you will not receive any refund. If this is in CIO stage you still get a refund if you did not pass eligibility review.

I just received an email from CIO stating that I only got 65 points based on their review. I was also given a UCI. Upon checking on my ecas it states In Process. However I'm confused since according to the email it said that I cannot get my fees returned and my application as well. This is negative eligibility review email right? Why is it that I will not get refunded and they will not send my appli back. Thanks!

Hello,
What it means is that u need to review ur application and adjust it in accordance with the issue raised in the mail sent to you and reapply ASAP, a spot is tied down for you,but u need to readjust ur application and reapply

Guys, when is the last day for applying under the current fsw system (before express entry is imposed on everyone)?

These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.
That word, "Before" is confusingly deadly. Also they didn't mention April 2015.

Yes, you will be able to apply under the current FSW if your NOC is not capped. The end date is April 30, 2015. There has recently been an e-mail to the forum that confirmed this matter. (also, google Operational Bulletin 572)

Also, CIC is doing this to make sure there will be enough skilled workers in Canada during 2015 before the EE is effective.

There was a debate on that topic in this forum, a couple of days back...I guess the conclusion was that the current FSW is open till Apr-2015 and a disclaimer that CIC can override this at will. I am really not sure, to be honest.

Yes, this is confusing. This is the bulletin:

Ministerial Instructions: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class Applications
Summary

Effective May 1, 2014, a maximum of 25,500 new Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications without an offer of arranged employment (including 500 applications in the PhD student/graduate stream), 5,000 new Federal Skilled Trades (FST) applications, and 8,000 new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications will be considered for processing for the period of May 1, 2014, until April 30, 2015, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction. Applications must be completeFootnote 1 and included within the caps set for each program to be considered for processing.

Ohh great ! Is that for sure? Did CIC mention that explicitly in their website?

They said "You have not obtained sufficient points to satisfy me that you will be able to become economically established in Canada" -- How wil I readjust the application? I have 0 on adaptability and arranged employment though) I am worried I might got cap reached my NOC is 3012. Do I need to resend a whole application because they're not going to return any documents I sent them.
