Just cancel your payment (by blocking your credit card or invalidate you demand draft with the issuing bank) so CIC wont be able to charge you on your second application, hence they will return your second application to you due to payment problems.
Beyond the stage of PER, you can still withdraw any of the applications you wish not to continue with by writing formally to the visa office but you will get NO REFUND of your application fee at the stage.
Thanks

Dear talk2melas,
Thanks for giving an insight on my question. I am paying the fees through credit card and I can indeed request for my CC to be blocked so that CIC will not proceed with the next process of my 2nd application. My only worry is, will it not affect my current application? I mean thinking about it, it has never been mentioned in any of their guidelines that deliberately blocking your card to stop the process of a 2nd application be a ground for disproving your current application right?
I understand that after PER, is to wait for the VO to contact you for further processing. I just want to ask, what happens on this step?
and what are the additional documents required when the VO starts processing your application? Is this when they ask another proof of funds?
Another question, can I declare an employment gratuity as a proof of fund?
Thanks in advance for the answers
