Hi,

I am August 21st Applicant for NOC 2173. I am from India and have given my HDFC Credit Card details for immigration fees. But now I m in a BIG doubt because HDFC generally ask for a one time password on each transaction. So not sure how will CIC process my application fees.

Please help and guide. If I can do anything or whether my application will get rejected. So much tensed getting sleepless nights :( :( :( :(

HELP!!

Hi, I also used my HDFC credit card and there's no one time password for these kind of transactions. They use one time password only for web payments. But please be advised that they have an international usage limit which can be changed through netbanking. Mine was of 75K so there were 2 failed attempts by CIC as they were trying to charge for 79K. By god's grace, I read the sms sent by hdfc bank about failed attempts and updated the limit and it was charged fine in the 3rd attempt after a week.

lol, I also think that might be the correct explanation.

+1 for finding the method of NDVO for sending MR

I think it is based on random number lol. They will close eye and put finger on any application and give MR :D

Don't you worry mate, CIC don't require any password or anything. You'll get your credit card charge soon.

password is not needed , but international limit has to be increased in your card , call customer care to increase your limit and also inform them that there will be an internation debit on your card so allow the transactions ahead

There are different types of transactions. For online transactions, yes, OTP / VBV etc. are required to verify that an identify authorized (you) person is doing the transaction. For transactions made by a registered merchant thru their own system don't need this verification, because those merchants are authorized to process payments this way and all payments they make can be traced to them so there is no scope for theft by an unidentified person.

For applicants who have sent PCC along with application, why would they request for PCC.... by so n so date ? :o :o

For applicants who sent PCC, for them the PCC is asked for any country/state in which they might have stayed other than their home country after they submitted the application. This is my assumption.
