Hi all,

I have a query regarding pcc.

I am a Yemen national, and I have lived in india for 7 and half months from July 2008 till Feb 2009.
So, it has been over 5 years period since I lived in India.

Am I going to be asked to provide pcc from India also?
If so, I have a pcc which I applied for in Bangalore on March 2009, will cic accept this pcc although it is dated on 2009?

If not, is it easy to apply for a pcc while I am not in India, after more than 5 years?
And how much time will it need to get it?
Please advice.
Thank you

Yes you need a PCC from India, and no they will not accept one from 2009. You need one less than a year old. CIC has a page explaining for you how to get a PCC from any country:

Good question to the senior member, If someone gets PCC before leaving the country of residence for good i.e. no stamp on the passport that he re-entered the country, will CIC waive updated PCC?

No. You must have one issued within the past year for all countries for which you need a PCC.

An interview concerning your application for permanent residence in Canada has been scheduled for you on Interview New Delhi 2014/11/05 09:30:00
PLEASE NOTE THAT INTERVIEW DATE FORMAT IS YEAR/MONTH/DATE at the Canadian High Commission, 7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021. To allow sufficient time to pass through security, please appear at least 15 minutes but not more than 30 minutes before your scheduled interview time.
Your spouse and all dependent children 18 years and over must attend the interview with you. Children under 18 do not need to attend unless we have requested it. If you have adopted a child other than by court order, the natural parents and the child must also attend the interview.
The Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi provides interpretation services for Hindi and Punjabi only. Economic class applicants who require an interpreter for another language must engage the services of a qualified professional interpreter from an approved list of interpretation companies. This approved list of interpretation companies is attached to this letter. Should the applicant come to interview without one of these interpreters, the interview will be rescheduled, leading to processing delays. Interpreters other than from the firms on the approved list will not be accepted.
Please note that the figures quoted by the interpretation companies are not negotiable. Further, the companies have no connection to the High Commission and cannot assist you in any way to improve your chances of obtaining a visa. Should you attempt to negotiate on either on these items, we have instructed the companies to refuse to take you as a client. Thirdly, the companies should be contacted during business hours only. How to contact CIC through phone number? Is it possible to contact them through phone to get about the application status.
I'm 12th june applicant payment mode is CC. till now my cc is not yet charged.

Yes, you can speak with an agent, but first they will ask for your UCI, which you probably don't have at this moment and then suggest that you should contact CIO, which you can do by email only.

Also I have a query with regards to the validity of the visa being issued.

Is the validity of the visa one year from the date of MR request or from the date of medicals being taken?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Credit Card charged today morning.
Application received date: 19-Jun, NOC 2174

I had originally applied on 7th May, application was returned on 13-Jun because I forgot to send original WES report. Send back the application with new information the next day.
Also, my job duties were not on Company letter-head, they were written on a blank paper signed by my previous manager. I provided supporting document like offer letter, salary slips and promotion letters.

Balle....congrats.....all the best for PER e-mail....!!!

Another Question ^_^

Hey,

Thanks to all for your kind help and suggestions. It worked :)

I have another question concerning my own application.

I realized many of you are saying 'charged' as a notification of CIC receiving the application. Can I know this information if I paid my fees through a "certified cheque"? Or does it have to be credit card?

Received MR, PCC and RPRF email few minutes back :D

SS updated.

They have sent medical form for my 3 year old son too. I thought medical was not needed for child below 18 years. So little confused right now.

Also in medical form for wife, Gender is given as M. How can I get that corrected?

I sent my original PCC along with application package and not for my wife.

In the email, they have not mentioned specifically whose PCC they are requesting.
They have only provided below text related to PCC:

- Please refer to our website to find out how to obtain a police certificate from the country required: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

I am thinking to be on safe side, I send PCC for me again along with wife's.

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

Congrats and +1
