Hi All,

I'm new on here, and just have a few questions regarding the FSW 2014 application:

1) The job letter from your place of employment – does this need to be signed by the respective HR personnel or your department/unit manager? Could be either.
2) Would a pension fund count towards proof of funds? If you can withdraw it at any time, yes. Settlement funds must be liquid and unencumbered.
3) I'm applying under NOC 1114 – I recently did the IELTS, and awaiting results, by the time I have the funds and source all the relative documents I would be ready to submit by the end of November 2014, what do you think my chances are of getting in before the cap is filled? 100%, 1114 is not a popular NOC and will not reach the cap for the whole year.

IMPORTANT:

My file is complete with Bucharest VO, and I am waiting for passport request which could be any time, However, the PCC from USA will expire on October 24th. If I did not receive any response before this date. Am I requires to submit a new FBI PCC? Please Experts, Advise me.

The PCC only needs to be valid at the time you submit it. However it is always possible they will ask for an updated one.

USEFUL INFORMAATION ABOUT RPRF PAYMENT CONFORMATION PAID THROUGH ONLINE

-if someone pay RPRF fee using cic online payment they got conformation recipt which contain number.
-now recipt copy we need to attach with our MR recipt, passport copy, or PCC and send to Visa office like NDVO or other.
-after few days ECAS status changed to "medicle rsult recived".

now question is someone who try to check status of application by selection of "Receipt Number" option from idetification type with RPRF fee receipt number and login in system and check same status.

I think by this way we konw about our RPRF fee status that our fee is attach with our current application

so i just request anyone who got status changed to "medicle reault received" and try above thing so it whould helpful to others who are waithing for status changed

if some want to give any sugesstion about this then welcome....

Re: FSW 2014 Applicants Settlement Funds Questions.

Hi, I have few questions regarding funds.

Can I show my wife's bank statements as my settlement funds (bank statements show my name as middle name)? Yes, spouse's funds count.
Can I show brokerage account as settlement funds? As long as you can withdraw it at any time.
Can I show my 401k plan as settlement funds? Not entirely, as it cannot be withdrawn immediately without paying taxes and penalties for early withdrawal. However if you really need to show these funds, you could show them ONLY up to the amount that you could withdraw in cash. Example, if the balance is 50k and after taxes and penalties you could only withdraw 15k, you can only show 15k.
Can I show company provided ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) as settlement funds? If not, can I show it as assets? Not sure about settlement funds, it doesn't sound like something you could withdraw in cash any time you wish. If you could then it is settlement funds. It certainly is an asset.

I have been following the posts for over a month, thanks for the valuable information you provide here. I am almost ready to send my application and have a quick question, your help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

For the Work experience letter, Should we send a photocopy or the original? I can send the original as I don't have a use for it but my concern is will VO ask for it again if I send the original to CIC?
