Hi there,

1. WES is pretty good. Guess that most of us here are opting for WES. I got my stuff evaluated in 15 days.

2. You get the WES reference number once you register with WES and pay them the evaluation and postal fees. and Yes. That form is actually called "Academic records request" and it has to be filled up by your university and enclosed with the transcripts which they will sen to WES

All the best

thank u sir.....

also can i download that form.. ???? and do i have to send other envelope aprt from uni ... containg marksheet ???

so it means there will be 2 enevlope one from uni containg transcripts and academic record request and other from my side containg xerox of my degree and marksheet.... ??

Am i right sir . ??

hi seniors,

application received : 2nd june
PER received : 25th sept

Can you tell me What is validity of PCC in India?

Because i am confused about my PCC which i received on 24th april .So it is nearly 6 months now, do i need to get fresh PCC again for further processing (MR/PCC request mail).

Validity for Indian PCC is 1 year.
I would suggest to get a new one instead of sending 6 months old PCC.

It certainly is alarming. In order to receive credit for work in any NOC, CIC must be able to tell what NOC you were working in. They need it spelled out for them and they do not make assumptions and they will not accept simply a job title or industry lingo because they don't understand that. A reference letter that is not sufficiently descriptive of a particular NOC won't receive points. If it is the primary NOC, the minimum requirement won't be satisfied and the application will be rejected. This is a common reason for rejections. If it is experience other than the NOC, it won't be credited for points toward the pass mark. I hope your application will still be ok.

I also send revised reference letters to them which were reached there on September 19, 2014. would they consider these additional documents in evaluation

+1 thanks for sharing

I'll share post-landing experience of a friend from IT background, who got PR (through Provincial Nominee program) :

He is married but decided to go there alone first. He took a three month sabbatical from his company in India (just to be safe) which is enough time to get PR card there. He then went to Canada and stayed with his sister's family. He did job search by applying directly and through a consultant. He got a job in 3 weeks time (yes, just 3 weeks) after landing, and has now tendered his resignation at his company in India. His wife would also be joining him next month.

I know two other cases of IT professionals, who went to Canada with families and got jobs within 2-3 months time. Jobs which fit their profile.

The advice I receive from all the people I know who have moved to Canada in the last 5-7 years is that you have to wait for the right job, and should not go into survival mode immediately. If at all, you may do part time work in evenings so that you have remaining time in the day to apply for jobs and appear for interviews.

I hope I also have a good experience in Canada and am able to provide for my family a life at least as good as I am providing for them here in India. And I wish the same for everybody here.

Let's continue to stay in touch even after we land. Peace.

Hello Everyone,

I have sent my FSW application, which was received on 22nd september by the CIO. I am currently in Canada as a student.
I recently got my PCC done from India. However because it did not reach by post on time (to Canada) so I applied my application with a letter of explanation that I can provide the same at a later date.
Now my question is should I send the PCC (I just received it) to CIO or should I wait for them to ask for it?
I hope this wont influence the application acceptance.

Thank u

Dont send it right now.

Wait till you get PER and file transfer to CPC-Ottawa. Once it is at CPC-Ottawa just send your PCC with cover letter requesting them to attach it to your application or you can also wait for their request.

Yes. It was by asking additional documents.

Additional documents I can provide no issues like salary slips and all but HR verification means HR will know what I am doing that was only concern
