One question, can I do the PCC and MR in advance without waiting for the Local VO correspondence? I'm expecting to receive MR and PCC request by end of October but I will be on travel by then.

Very Happy to share with this wonderful forum that I just received PER!!!

App received : 5th June
CC Charged : 23rd Sept
PER : 2nd Oct [9:17 IST]

Case where CC was lost and new CC was charged. BC for spouse not sent [sent hospital acknowledgement of birth instead]. Sent translated BC again which reached CIC a couple of days ago.

Thanks a lot for all the support so far. Wishing everyone the best of luck with their apps. Looking forward for further stages of the process...

Well the journey has been nice so far...The only mistake I did in Canada was I landed in Toronto.. I am oil & gas professional... I should have landed in Alberta...

But I have some relatives in Brampton so I thought it would be good for me... but no, when it comes to finding jobs I believe ALBERTA is the place for all oil & gas professionals.. Toronto is overcrowded and is good for IT professionals...There is too much of talent already in Toronto market. Brampton is "PUNJAB DAA PIND". There use to be days where in I couldn't see a single GORA .. ONLY PUNJABIS...

Fortunately, I am in Calgary right now working with an oil & gas company. The journey is all about learning and sharing best practices... Please prepare for an initial struggle for couple of months... please stay away from those people who will say that you will not find a job in your industry....

Just remember try and try.. there is no way you want to go back.. YOU HAVE INVESTED TIME, MONEY in this.... MAKE IT WORK....

I am provided with the UCI number in a mail, can I use it to track the status of my application ? Whats the role of my local Visa Office after the issuance of PER ? How long does NDVO take to respond after the PER ?

Yes you can use uci no to track your application

Your local o will do background checkings ...after background checking vo wikl issue mr nd ask for rprf and pcc( if not submitted) and passport for visa
