When did they ask for passport and prpf ? ( as it says in process )

before 2014, they use to ask for PRPF Later along with PP request

Seniors!!! One of my previous employers is not giving the employment letter. In previous posts it has been mentioned that as an alternative I can get the duties listed by a colleague and get it notarized. But I no longer live in the city of my previous employment so the notary will also not be possible.
What happens if I mention the employment in the application forms but do not provide any letter? Would this be a reason for rejection or would CIC just not give me any points for the duration of that employment?
I have enough points even without showing this previous employment so thats why thinking of just mentioning it in the forms but not providing the letter but at the same time dont want this to cause a rejection.

Please advise.

You just won't get points.

Be sure to explain in your application why you could not get a personal letter.

But note that the personal letter need not be notarized.

Wanted to understand from you all that, is that correct status or anything extra information has to be there?

Application received date: 6th June
DD encashed date: 25th Sept
PER date: 2nd Oct

I am provided with the UCI number in a mail, can I use it to track the status of my application ? Whats the role of my local Visa Office after the issuance of PER ? How long does NDVO take to respond after the PER ?

My sister package was returned on 24 Sep, her rejection letter dated 12 Sep (Birth certificate was not accepted). Her application was received on 13 June... considering this... I think for you NO NEWS IS A GOOD NEWS...

Ankur, is your sister in India? I am a June 10th applicant and I have no clue what is happening with my application. Nice to know if she has already received the returned package.

This is correct.
The second line will be updated just around your MR call.

varuen, Canada's policy change over night. do you think they will keep express entry open with Federal skilled worker and Federal skilled worker separately only for 2014?

Yes they will, because that is what the Ministerial Instructions say will happen.

It's always possible that the policy will change, but for you to say that it WILL change, when it has not yet changed and there is no indication that it will change, is deliberately spreading false information. -1 for that. Don't mislead people.

Show me any reference link.
And here again my point is, wait till they spread this news globally even if it becomes end of the year. Don't rely on any 3rd party information.

He is right about the two examples where people's applications were cancelled without decision.

Where he is wrong is in saying that the policy WILL change. Those cancellations were rare events and cannot be used to predict a future change in the Ministerial Instructions.

so feel free to -1 him (you and everyone) for deliberately spreading false information.

Hi everyone,

I got back my file yesterday. I was too depressed to post yesterday. June 24 applicant. I had originally sent a copy of my ECA report then I sent the original after but they didn't attach it to my file even though I had a UCI number.

CIO letter dated Sep 24 and received package back on Oct 1

NOC 2281. What are my chances now?

you should be fine in 2281 if you reapply quickly, but no guarantees, get a move on.

Make sure none of the forms has a new edition since your last application.

Update all of your information on the forms to include the last few months, and remember to validate the generic form.
