Hi Guys,

I might be wrong but have got this on the CIC site. - It says for any other category, we will need the Canadian PCC.
Please help.

FROM the CIC site
Do I need to provide a police certificate for my time in Canada?

You do not need a police certificate for your time in Canada if you are applying for permanent residence from within Canada in one of the following categories:
•live-in caregiver;
•humanitarian and compassionate considerations;
•temporary resident permit holder;
•spouse or common-law partner; or
•protected person or Convention refugee.

If you are applying under any other category or from outside of Canada, you may be requested to submit a Canadian police certificate for your time in Canada.

Well, if you check this link from CIC site http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp , Canadian PCC is not required with the application for PR. However, a criminal record check may be asked for by your VO but they will specifically ask for it themselves in certain cases. So one does not need to spend effort on this unless the record check is asked for, which I believe is rare.

How to get a police certificate - Canada

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate with my Application for Permanent Residence? No

Dear All,

Seeking some advice from the helpful people on this forum.

May 29th - applicant
Sept 15th - CC charged
Sept 24th - received email from WES for ordering duplicate report with CIC as recipient
Sept 29th - WES confirmed the completion of duplicate report being sent to CIC

Am on my seats edge waiting for the PER. Do you think it would be a good idea to write to CIC and enquire status? Or just continue to sit and bite my nails waiting for the golden email to come ???

Thanks in advance for your help!

NEWS FLASH: The current application cycle for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), which opened in May, 2014, will finish at the end of this year.

As mentioned in here http://www.cicnews.com/2014/10/final-chance-current-federal-skilled-worker-program-103955.html

By the founder of this forum. :o :o :o :o :o

Meaning anyone who applies should have their FSW process completed within this year? or last application entertained should be received by December 31st,2014? Seniors please shed some light on this?

Hi guys! As my time draws near, I'm getting a little more anxious. I'm worried - I sent my application on July 1. It was received by CIC on July 7. Somewhere between those dates they changed fee payment form (I swear I used the most recent one when I sent the app - I checked several times.

Does anyone remember when exactly did they change fee payment form in the beginning of July?
Can this be a reason for rejection?

(And that was a very minor change, too - they removed Federal Entrepreneurs from the list as the program was closed...)

Thanks!
