Thanks bro... What in case of State Bank of India.... do they follow the same steps???

yes same steps, except that in place of ICICI bank, it will be SBI. Also correspondent bank names may change depending on SBI tieups

It depends on how quickly the foreign bank and local bank react. Can't say anything.

Hello guys,

I'm a 30th May applicant (NOC 0113) and I received my PER on 25th September. Currently waiting for the next requests to follow from NDVO.
I see senior forumites advising people who got their PERs to initiate PCC process but my consultant said I can initiate PCC only after I receive PCC request from NDVO because the police authorities require the PCC request mail.
Should I go ahead with getting PCC done in Bangalore immediately? This definitely seems more sensible but is it possible sans the PCC request mail?

TIA!

no need to wait for pcc request mail. start processing asap. i got pcc before sending my application. u submit a copy of document check list (where there s mention about pcc) to police station. that would do...............

It's not necessary you can take a printout of IMM5612E.pdf and quote the point number 18 along with your pcc application it's enough.

download FD258 form from fbi site, get your fingerprints on that and download and fill up the application form and payment form from fbi site send it all to fbi. I think now they are taking 12 weeks to process, so do it asap....

SBI have couple of branches in Ontario .... does that speed up the process in any way?

So if the foreign bank communicates the our local bank in India for the DD encashment then how come our local banks are not able to provide the status of our DD's. Because are local banks are the ones who confirm and release the money.... right.....
