I have a confusion regarding the below question.

Q2a. Have you ever used any other name (e.g. Nickname, maiden name, alias etc). If yes, please provide the name

Family Name(s) _____________________ Given Name(s)____________________

I want to ask that my wife family name was changed after marriage. Do i need to write her Name and Previous Family Name in the above fields or Only the Family Name. As her Family Name was only changed. Please help me out on this.

Has anyone from NDVO received PPR after sending their medicals ? My consultant says that one should get the PPR in 10 days to 1 month max after they receive the medical results and fees. Is this true ? FYI, I am done with my medicals, will be dispatching the medical acknowledgement and DD for RPRF tomorrow.

as per the sheet, no one gets the PPR request from NDVO. Will see how much days it will take. I think this year processing is much faster.

ECAS Update (In Process)
1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 5, 2014.

Payment mode DD (HDFC). Will update spreadsheet once I get any information on payment charge date either from the bank or via PER email.

Peace Out! :D

Before the expiry of COPR both Priniciple and dependent applicants should be landed to canada. Am i correct?
from the date of Medical means, date of Medical request email which CIC sent. Is that one or Medical results reached date?

Right, you should land before expiry of COPR.
Date of medical means, the date examination done at doctor's clinic.

Seniors Urgent Query.

i tried to Pay RPRF fees throught online thru the below link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?lob=proc&cat=perm

when i just give total number of application as 1 it asked me to register. i gave my mail id and password, then it directly went to payment page which asked to fill bank details. finally when i click pay it gave me a receipt with a reference number and only thing i can find in that receipt is my name with amount. no address or UCI details. is this common or did i missed up anything. Please give me the suggestion

Only the Family name that has been changed.

If it is the case, then our visa is a confirmed one right.

Just checked with Bank now and our DD is still Outstanding, June 5th Applicant, NOC 2174, Getting Worried now :(

Then they will personally visit the applicant and employer...
The local visa office has its own method to do background verification. All application are not verified .The verified cases may be at random or suspicious looking. They hire a third agency for field verification and applicant /employer is never contacted . The whole process is discreet. If they have to ask something from applicant ,they will call for a interview.

correct, in addition principle applicant and dependents don't need to land at the same time, but dependents can't land before principle applicant does. moreover, in order PR status to continue, you have to stay in Canada at least 2 years for the 5 year period of time. Of course, there should be a process for extension.

I think the COPR should start from the date of medical results.

Thanks a lot wolf_metallo.. They sent me back even before issuing the token, at the counters where they verify your application and the documents. In your case, your PP had your wife's name, in my case, neither me nor my wife have each other's name on it. I think I need to go there again before I take any further steps.

Agree that my pp had her name, but it was PCC for her - mine was done already. they shouldn't even ask your marital status, AFAIK.

Even before you go back to them, read all policies on passportindia website and take print outs of relevant policies. Try convincing the guy at the outside counters, they are just TCS employees - they'll get convinced if you show them additional proofs.

would also suggest that you initiate local SP / police station process for PCC, just in case the first method fails. All the best!

It takes around 3 to 15 days to get the DD encashment confirmation by the Bank itself. So, nothing to be worried now.
