THANXX Gsw
I HAD VISITOR VISA ALSO I WILL TRY TO FIND UCI ON IT...

I too have a multiple entry business/visitor visa which was issued to me in April 2011. I do see a 8 digit number in my Visa Stamp card, which is of the format XXXXXXXX (an 8 digit continuous number, no hyphens)

There is a heading "C.REC. / REC. F." and below it , its written FPA (Which i think means Fee Payed Abroad). And beside it is the 8 digit number which has no heading... is this the UCI number? ?

I have sent my application without PCC included in it. I want to start the process for obtaining the PCC. I do have question:
1. Do we need to submit PCC when asked by VO which has been issued not more than 3 months ago?

Please let me know, otherwise when it will asked (hopefully in Feb 2015), it will be more than 3 months old, which will not be valid for submission that time.

When you receive your PER, start preparing for your PCC. That's the best time to apply for PCC.

Hello Guys,

My friend needs help. He is IT Manager (advisory project manager) and his wife is CA. as per previous information on this forum 2171 is only applicable code where IT managers can possibly apply and I believe it is already too late for this code.

Is there anything for CA so that he can put primary applicant as his wife ?

I did not under the meaning of occupations open regularly.
what i understand is that if it is in high demand or if it is opened every year in FSW.

2281 computer network professionals opened after a long wait of 3-4 years.

earlier i applied under fsw in 2007 but file came back as due to backlog.

after that for the first time 2281 is on the CIC site.

i think there is less chance of quota being filled this year as only 193 application are processed...you should go ahead......

there is list of 2015 Express entry is out and they are the same professions like this years you can also check that......

@ tveeter

There are many NOC in which CA can apply, NOC is job description based not education specific. So he needs to look into related NOC descriptions to see which one matches his wife's JD. Your friend has to options

1. either do it himself or ask his wife to go through list of eligible occupations and following PDF file http:// www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/pdf/PrintableVersionNOC2011.pdf (remove spaces)

2. Hire a consultant, who can spoon feed him.

P.S: I am quite sure that ur friend is actually ur boss.

Yeah for safer side we can start processing it once we get PER. But is anywhere CIC mentioned that it is only accepted if issued within 3 months at the time of submission.

Why I am asking this is, through PSK current appointment I can get is after 1 and half months so if I try to get it once I get PER then I will get a date which will be more than one month later and PCC processing take another month or so.

Re: I am a 2014-applicant but unable to see old ECAS status (a 2008 case)

No you cannot see the status of the old applications on ECAS, once your current application is being shown In Process. There is a possibility though if you did refer to your old file number in your current application it would have just come up on the ECAS, prior to your current application going into a In process state. This basically is just to do a validation check and also could be a possible case to migrate it from their old system to the new ones that they are using now. This is all just to look up and judge the reason for refusal, but once that is done, it is through and is out of the system and the current one is all that you will be able to see. So chill pal, don't get too worried about it, your current one being shown is good news. :D Cheers!!

Thanks. You seem to know about their migration from an old system to a more efficient one. I also heard something like that. In fact, I have recently ordered for GCMS notes by placing a request online on https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca and come to know that they use 3 different electronic systems. Here is a snapshot from that link that describes each in brief:

Even though I will get my GCMS notes in 30-40 days, do you happen to know whether the notes will include entries for my past applications too, dating back to even 1998? I extended my student visa a few times in late 90's.
