Wow I am regularly following the charge estimation date column and I see a huge difference. My Application was received on August 13 and initially it was showing December first week. Now the current estimation is showing as Nov 1st week. Does this mean CIC has received less applications during June and July??? Also is CIC working faster than expected beacuse of new system(express entry in Jan 2015).

I wish and hope this estimation dates should come down further...Fingers crossed :) :) :)

Thanks

Dear friends

Below questions are related to the fields which are not applicable. Kindly let me know whether writing N/A or leaving blank is better?

1. Second country of citizenship in the generic form question 9. Write NA or leave blank?
2. Previous Countries of residence in the generic form question 12?(if only one country is there, the second column can be left blank or write NA?)
3.In the contact info part it is unable to type NA in the PO Box part, should this be left blank or write NA after printout?
4. Fax number part. Should I write NA or Not available?
5. In the back ground declaration, if not applicable, Should we write NA against the date of Death of parents or leave it blank?

The logic that is mostly applied is that if the text-box is grayed out, you just leave it blank. If it's not grayed out, you can write "N/A".

Note: A grayed out text box means that the field does not apply to you based on the options you've selected for the same and/or a previous question.

Hello Seniors.

I am about to send the application from India (and my native language is Malayalam) and I have few quires. All my records have my name in english.

1. Should I fill the native language part for my name in form IMM5669 ?
2. Should I fill the native language part for my name and family members name in form IMM5406 ? What to do in case there is no space?
3. I have only one citizenship. After filling out the form IMM0008_2D, should I write "N/A" in the second citizenship field.(Question no :9)

Thanks,
Anu

Dear expert ,

Do CIC send any mail on receiving the application , or the first mail would only be PER mail ?

Determination of Positive Eligibility will be the first communication between you and CIC. If you have used an email address in the form, it will be sent electronically to you. Else, there will be postal mail to your contact address.

Friends,

What is the significance of the barcode pages at the end of gen.application form.? What are they used for?
If there is any minor correction in any of the pages of the genapplication, do we need to correct it, do the validation again and take a fresh printout of all the pages OR taking the corrected printout of just that page is enough?

Ans. 1- Yes, u should fill ur name in native language in 5669.
Ans. 2- Yes, u have to fill all ur family members name in ur native language in 5406. Try to accommodate in given space with small writing. We all did that and u will also able to do. First try in testing page. It will help a lot.
Ans. 3- Write "N/A" if possible. Otherwise write "N/A" after printout with pen.

Good luck.

The bar codes change based upon what answers you provide and choices you select within the Generic form (you cannot make this out physically, obviously).

I would suggest if you change anything in the generic form, validate it again and then take a print of the complete form.

I have sent my FSWP application from London ( though am an india and working in London ) and it has been received by the office under the code 0013 ( Sr Manager Financial, Communication ) on 25th September 2014. I have couple of queries if someone can help me with please :

b) When Do I hear from CIC about the receipt /acceptance of application ?
c) I have filled in the form for credit card to be debited with all the details in the application - How long does it take for the card to get debited ?

Thank you so much albertoenriquezjr and namaste for your prompt responses :)

1. I did not send the PCC with my application, but they are not asking for it now! I thought they will ask for PCC and MR at the same time. It is usuall that they ask for PCC after they receive the MR? Does this mean that PCC is not required for me?

2. Just to make sure that I am on the right track, should I send MR for myself and my spouse? In the meantime, should I prepare the PCCs for both of us?

Honestly, I did not expect this! I have my PCC ready but not for my spouse! And also, I did not take into account the MR charges for my spouse as I thought it is not required since she has not applied yet.

Many thanks for you helps. :)

1. They may have overlooked the PCC. In any case keep the PCCs ready for yourself and your spouse in case they ask later.
2. Yes, send the MR in any case.
