It depends on whether the address on one's passport is the same as the current residing address. If its the same, PCC will be approved and granted the same day. If not, PSK will sent the PCC request to the police station for the current address and one has to approach the police station and give documents for address proof etc. The second case, takes about a week or two depending on how good your local police station works. Oh yeah, no appointment needed for PCC. One can walkin to PSK between 9:30 to 11:30 A.M any working day. Be warned that it will take the close to 3-5 hrs for the process to complete as PCC requests get least token priority when compared to passport issue token. Make sure your passport is not damaged. they will not issue PCC if it is damaged.

EPF employee provident fund scheme

Need your expert advise on another matter:

I have been employed with a company from past 5 years and since the time I joined this organization I have never been a part of EPF employee provident fund scheme. Because in my company if you fall above a certain slab company won't deduct PF, probably to save their side of contribution to PF.

My query is that my salary slips also don't have any PF info will this cause any issue/ suspicion, I mean is it common with other companies as well or its just my company with such kind of policy??
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

EPF is optional is my company too. I never got EPF deducted. I don't think it will be a problem.

I think it is nothing to do with your company. It is your gross salary if it below a certain level, employer wont deduct PF. This should not be a problem and they might raise a query at the most regarding the same. But, does your pay slip contain other details like joining date, PAN no, income tax deduction, etc?

hi Optimist,

Thanks for the prompt response.

Actually its opposite with my company, if your basic pay is less than 15k they ll deduct PF, otherwise not. I never bothered about it before but now that i am scrutinizing each and everything it seems a bit odd to me.

Yes, my salary slips have all other info mentioned.

Payslips are only additional documents to strengthen you case. I dont think they will reject a case as there is no PF deduction. At the most, they will raise a query, that too probably by Local VO. CIC will not keep track of all the deduction which would happen for each country :).

Chill and enjoy your waiting, if you have already sent your app.

Hi Seniors, I am always worried about some of my fillings on the form 5669(Background Declaration). I wrote "A Russian Farm" as the "name of company..." for one of my wife's personal history (she traveled there for a Russian language internship and cannot remember the farm's exact name). Will my application be returned for the incomplete company name?

For me it doesn't look like a serious problem, especially if your wife's not a principal applicant.

Thanks, arika! I hope so!

Is it must to provide ref. Letter with job duties for noc level C??? One of my previous employer not providing me ref. Letter as per cic format and i hv only simple exp. Letter without JD and that too is at the time of relieving..now i m confused what to do? and how to explain cic that my this exp. is NOC level C?? Plz note that i m not claiming points for this exp. So do i still need to get ref. Letter with jd???

I dont think you need ref letter for it since ur not claiming points. i have sent the application too for my exp, out of which i didnt attach anything for one of the experience since i am not claiming any points for it.

Hello,
Does PCC required for all applicants (including my spouse & child) or shall i apply for me only as i am main applicant.

Please advise

Get the second reference letter also from the same HR / manager, highlighting BOTH the roles WITH time split in months / weeks and this segregation is within the time in the organization. Ensure each of them stands atleast 1 year plus completely when added up! All the best!

hi trk1, do i have to split my work experience into two periods of time for the two NOCs? But, actually, my work covers the two NOCs at the same time.

Buddy,

CIC tells:

You and all of your family members who are 18 years of age and older and who are not already permanent residents or Canadian citizens will have to provide:

So yes for all of the accompanying members whom are over 18yrs older....:)

You only need to provide reference letters for NOC codes under skill level 0, A & B.

In fact, CIC guide 7000 clearly states that even in economic classes form we only need to list the occupations which fall in skill type 0 or skill level A & B.
