Hi all,
Is it possible to use someone else's credit card as mine isn't international one.
I have a cousin who lives in Canada. I could use his credit card.

Yes you may use someone CC , but remember here is one of the forumist given post that he given his friend's CC details while application submitting and at the time CIC is going to charge friend denyed to help him .

Thanks Susan

I got PER on 13 Aug, still no Medical req from NDVO. I'm guessing the verification of docs is taking time in our case. I have Indian and UK work experience submitted.

Hi Nina,

Just wanted to know from you regarding getting PCC from UK as you must also be thinking about it and even I have one year's experience for the year 2010-2011 but I am not at all sure how to go about it.

Also the name and address of my London based firm has changed now so I am not sure how to go about asking for LORs (as that would have different company name and address than what is shown on my offer letter) and what other proofs will I have to show for confirming my firm.

The answer is yes, you can use if that cardholder is able to give signature on the payment form for auto debit authorization.

So, get the signature from your cousin on the payment form.

Thanks bhaia.

I went to SCB today but they are reluctant to issue another DD for the same applicant. I will try again tomorrow if not possible then I will go for CC.

Thanx again.

I see :o :o

So, any member can find any consumer's loan history in India. The following are eligible for membership:
CIBIL Membership is available to the following institutions:

Credit Institutions (banks, RRBs, Co-operative bank , NBFC, Public Financial Institution, Housing Finance Institution etc. companies engaged in the business of credit cards and other similar cards and companies dealing with distribution of credit in any other manner or any other institution which the Reserve Bank may specify, from time to time, for this purpose)

Insurance Companies

Companies providing cellular or telephone services

Credit Rating Agencies

Asset Reconstruction Companies

So, technically, if NDVO has a good connection with any of the institution, they can get loan information - still it will become spying and unethical to do so - I don't believe, my dream country will indulge into this type of activities. Nonetheless, it is warning for Indian applicants.

Century,

I agree Central bank will not give such data, but CIBIL is a private institute, not government body.

Stake held by Banks in India (nationalised, Private and MNCs) and major stake by MNC Company.

Hi,

can you please suggest me whihc is the best mode of payment..is it DD or Credit card..

DD is valid only for 3 months but CC is valid till the expiry date..so, i am just thinking to use CC..
any suggestions would be really great

Is this for aplication fees or RPRF fees ?

For application fees, DD is best.
For RPRF fees, Online payment in local currency is best.

Hello Guys! Looking at the CC charging and PER news and really happy for those who gt it and praying hard for the others too. My applicationn reached on June 12th under NOC1112 VO London. My consultant who is based in Canada has given a DD from a Canadian bank. Would it take lesser time to charger than other DD's? Kindly comment.

Regards,

Prefer DD , international DD valid for 06 months . DD more safe then CC

Susan

Pessimistic estimate as per SS is 23rd Sept for 2171. Is that a worst possible scenario OR there could be a possibility of much worse than this ? :-X

I am sending my application tomorrow under 2171 that would hopefully reach on 25th Sept.

Hi Sirya,

How did you reach to the mentioned Pessimistic estimate for 2171. Actually, I am far off to apply as my IELTS is on 22Nov. Want to know if I should still try for Canada under this last category for QA guys (out of 2174, 2173 and 2171) or should I think about other options well in advance.

Century,

Your knack of getting into finer details is amazing. :) Hats off to you..Karmafied, but would want to give you at least +10 for this.

Hello Guys,

Good job you all are doing here, helping others and providind candid advices.

I have an issue, my wife is the principal applicant for our FSW 2014 application, which we sucessfully submittted a while baack. Even though we are yet to receive our PER, we are stiill expectant. the challenge we have is , i also applied for Autstralia PR (EOI) and we have just received an invite to put in our application. We feel quite perplexed at the moment, should we go for Australia or Canda is what is going through our minds right now.

My question to the house is this, should we decide to apply for Australian PR and we sucessfully get it, would it jeopardize our Canadian dream in anyway.....we have several options, one of them is to pursue the Australian PR, get it and see if Canada pulls through fro us, if it does, we may let go Australia and land in Canada.

I know some of you may think we are funny and trying to eat our cake and have it, i will like to state that this is far from the truth. we are just hopeful for a bettter quality of life like everyone else here. Two great opportunites, we want to be careful so we do not loose out on both ends.

Thank you in advance.

Thnx. I hope this won't happen in my case Inshallah. Nevertheless my first priority is DD.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I will correct the typo and rephrase the question more.

I have an issue on Representative Form. I used a representative before submitting application forms and now I am about to submit the application forms and I have decided not to use his services any more.

Should I fill cancellation fields in the representative form, even though I have not authorized the representative as I has not submitted the application forms yet?

Or should I ignore the representative form itself?

The reason for the question is the CIC information is not clear in this case. CIC says "A representative is someone who has provided advice, consultation, or guidance to you at any stage of the immigration application process, or in an immigration proceeding. If someone represented or advised you to help you submit your application, then that person is your representative. A representative is also someone who has your permission to conduct business on your behalf of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). "

Thanks...

I presume you are referring to settlement funds when you said maintenance funds.

In that case answer is yes. EPF, PPF and gratuity can be considered as settlement funds.

Hi CanOl,

By "Maintenance Funds" I meant "Proof of Funds". Plz affirm whether your response holds true for POF as well.

Yeh, probably you are right - it's data integrity question. Need confirmation from below applicants about authenticity of the input which causes average to go down substantially:

SS name PER AOR
farsaqsaa 8/18/2014 8/19/2014
M.A 8/5/2014 8/5/2014

Pls applicants, confirm those or else it will be removed.

Century Borther .... I feel they have assumed that their files will now be transferred to VO & based on that assumption I guess they have entered their details in SS.... :)

Above Comment is also an assumption though!! ;) :D
