Thank you for your post. I will consider Australia if my Canada and US applications do not work out. I'm curious if you can migrate to Australia without nomination i.e. similar to the FSW application, but without a job offer - just on point based system.

Your application goes into a pool with other applications and is selected based on the points you score. The higher the points higher are your chances of getting an invitation from the Australian government. You don't need a job offer to apply.

Hope this helps.

Hello Seniors

Please can anybody tell how to get PCC from Singapore? I stayed 9 months there (Sep-08 to June-09)...

I asked the singapore police on mail they said that they may need official letter from any country regarding need of the PCC by applicant... As they stopped issuing this since long back only to non-citizens....

Citizens can get any time...

So problem is the no.of days when NDVO (MY EMBASSY) ask for submitting PCC of all countries (45 days). Singapore may delay in this which can adversely affct my application...

Thanks in advance

Hi

By grace of god, I have received my per email on 19th of sept. (28may 1112, Indian applicant). I would like to thank everyone of you for your support and guidance. You guys are doing an amazing job. Thanks once again.

I have certain questions which are, to the best of my knowledge, nowhere answered on cic's website.
I would like to put them across to get your wise opinion.

1. My husband is already in Vancouver pursuing masters from UBC which started in Sep 14. After he received study permit, I applied for my work permit and my baby's tourist visa, and got the same in due course. All three of us underwent medical exam in may & July 2014 for our respective Temporary visas and the report should be with NDVO. Do you think that NDVo al will ask for MR once again now as then we will be required to undergo new medicals. If yes , does my husband need to undergo the medical exam in Canada whereas I get it done in India ?

2. How will my husband send his passport for stamping of PR visa to NDVO at a later stage ? Does he get it stamped in canada whereas i send it to NDVo ?

3. I sent PCC (dated may 2014) for myself as well as my husband along with the application package. If at all NDVO asks to submit them afresh, how will my husband obtain it because he will neither be able to visit PSK . Also how will he obtain a PCC from Canada ?

thanks for your advise and all the best everyone for their PR

ysogreen123 - I hope some seniors respond to you - so take my advice with a grain of salt.

From the above, you seem to have all moved to Canada. I'm curious if you can ask the CIO or NDVO - wherever your file is, to transfer it to CPC-O given your changed circumstances. Sometimes they do it. This way you can do the entire process in Canada itself i.e. MR and passport stamping.

Your PCC is not too old. However, you can get the PCC from the nearest Indian Consulate. I am in the US and got my PCC by sending my passport to the nearest Indian consulate in the US.

hi dear forumites.. Ecas showing 3rd line. Medical has been received . Does it mean that I passed medical?

@nsharawat,

pn2014can - Thank you very much. I'm the US right now, so Canada seems not to be much different. I however have family in Australia. I am unmarried. I guess once I get married I would decide what to do :-)

Absolutely. Australia has a couple lists of occupations based on how much they are needed in Australia. If your occupation is in their main list (most IT professions are in this list), then no job offer is required. However, their requirement as far as experience is a bit tough. YOu have to get both your education and work experience assessed as a whole. I personally found this assessment criteria very confusing and kinda discouraging because it is very expensive, takes a long time, qualification criteria is very tough (ex. they won't even assess if you haven't worked for 2 years after getting your degree, education has to absolutely match with your profession etc). But once you have a positive assessment and have enough points, it's fairly easy to apply.
