Hi Everyone,

i am a serious follower of this forum from a distance. This is a great source for people who are interested in migrating and dreaming of a new life in hopefully a new country.
Hats off to every single person who has put time and effort to start, reply, follow encourage fellow forum members.

I just wanted to post my scenario here and I do hope everyone gets what they dream for and where ever they stay, they are happy and content.

I am a 30th May applicant, got my CC charge on the 16th sep, waiting for PER e-mail. I am an australian citizen, had some family in Canada so moved here on a work permit and decided to apply for PR as my occupation was in the list for 2014/15. I have a family, everything is going good but since we have moved from Australia, Canada just doesn't feel like home. There is something missing and both me and my wife don't know what it is.

We are seriously considering going back to Australia.

Enough of our story. The only reason i wanted to add my post on this forum was to give hope to people whose file have been rejected, cap got filled or will be filled by the time they get their application submitted.

Australia is another beautiful country which also offer skilled migration. I am sure most of you would have already done research on Australia, but if you have any skilled migration related questions to Australia i can try and help. I am in no way an expert but i can try and help and if it makes someones dream a reality.

Good luck to everyone in their pursuit for hapiness.

Regards.

Thanks for sharing ur life experience with us. I was also in Australia for a yr. Unfortunately returned due to family hazard. It was, is & will always be a dream country for me. So, I've tried my best to migrate there anyhow. After having roller coaster effort I got know that migration to AUS is like a journey to another planet. Cause at each & every step they have tightened their process which was relatively relaxed about 4-5 yrs ago. Its certainly easier if you stay in AUS & get their degree. Finding no other guaranteed way, applied for Canada. Because its process is less expensive (no worries if rejected) as well as balanced points requirement than AUS.

Thank you for your post. I will consider Australia if my Canada and US applications do not work out. I'm curious if you can migrate to Australia without nomination i.e. similar to the FSW application, but without a job offer - just on point based system.

Can someone help me give the contact no of cic for checking application status? . I called up 0016039444000 but they did not give me any info and asked me to contact the Nova Scotia office. Also let me know the email id that I can use.

Also is there any difference in processing time between applications sent via consultant and those sent directly. I am a 20th May applicant still not received any update from Cic. Worries me everyday.

Congratulation.

Please get enlisted into spreadsheet - it will help others as well as you.

ASLK and HAI to ALL. Iam very excited to to share that I received my MR PCC and RPRF email from NDVO today morning.

I have a knowledge of PCC and MEDICAL but Iam completely blind when it comes to RPRF. How should I pay the fees I don't have a credit card.

Can I pay through Demand Draft if Yes the payment should be in INR or CAD $.

And the Demand Draft should be in whose favour. Please help me.

All the best for everyone.

Hi

By grace of god, I have received my per email on 19th of sept. (28may 1112, Indian applicant). I would like to thank everyone of you for your support and guidance. You guys are doing an amazing job. Thanks once again.

I have certain questions which are, to the best of my knowledge, nowhere answered on cic's website.
I would like to put them across to get your wise opinion.

1. My husband is already in Vancouver pursuing masters from UBC which started in Sep 14. After he received study permit, I applied for my work permit and my baby's tourist visa, and got the same in due course. All three of us underwent medical exam in may & July 2014 for our respective Temporary visas and the report should be with NDVO. Do you think that NDVo al will ask for MR once again now as then we will be required to undergo new medicals. If yes , does my husband need to undergo the medical exam in Canada whereas I get it done in India ?

2. How will my husband send his passport for stamping of PR visa to NDVO at a later stage ? Does he get it stamped in canada whereas i send it to NDVo ?

3. I sent PCC (dated may 2014) for myself as well as my husband along with the application package. If at all NDVO asks to submit them afresh, how will my husband obtain it because he will neither be able to visit PSK . Also how will he obtain a PCC from Canada ?

thanks for your advise and all the best everyone for their PR

Could anyone explain about the "lines updated" in ECAS?

What one should expect written in these lines? And what follows what ?

Just wanna confirm

On real estate sites @ bc vancouver
They say around 1500 -1700 for 2bhk apartment

Please share more knowledge about rentals if possible

price always depends on 3 things: location, location, location

Closer to downtown area, closer to public transportation access, area with better safety record and better schools will always be more expensive for the same sized apartment. Also price will depend on whether utilities like electricity and heat are included or not, whether parking is included or not, whether the apartment is newish and remodeled or is on the verge of collapse etc. So cheap is not always the better option.

My comment wasn't about BC but in one of the more expensive areas in the USA. But I doubt it is any different in vancouver since it is one of the most expensive cities in the world.

any 4th June Applicants charged today ....????

Can someone please confirm the email address from which one would receive PER emails. Is it centralized - intake-office @ cic.gc.ca??

Does anyone knows how much time between getting PER and the file being transferred to the local visa office? Iam not worried at all, just want a rough estimate.
Btw, my VO is Havana.

No brother, the point will remain same.
