Hi Friends,

I am seeking your experts suggestions regarding USA PCC.
FBI website says there are 2 options:
Option 1: Submit your request directly to the FBI.
Option 2: Submit to an FBI-approved Channeler
=======================================================

Query1: Is option 2, is faster and acceptable as per CIC?
Query2: With option 1, how to obtain USA PCC for couple (primary applicant and accompanying spouse)? Can I opt for one of the below approaches:
a. Prepare the application form and FD-258 fingerprint card for both primary applicant and spouse separately. Send it to FBI along with two money orders ($18 each) in single package. {OR}

b. Just one common application form - signed by both primary applicant and spouse. Get fingerprints on two Separate FD-258 fingerprint cards. Send to FBI with 1 single money order ($36) for fees.

Query3: I am currently in USA, what is the process for getting India PCC from USA. Can you please share any links or guide.

Appreciate your guidance/suggestions in this regards.

I was in the same boat :)
Option 1 is what u need to do . I dont think u can do option 2.
option1 is easy - Just write a letter and both of you sign. So, just one application - and pay for both..I think it was $18 * 2 = 36
And if u hav questions call them or email them - they explain it nicely.

indian pcc - in which US state u r ? accordingly choose the consulate - go to their website and follow details..thats also pretty easy . Ping me if you have more questions.

I too would like to know the answers to Option 1 and 2. However for India you apply at the Indian Consulate which is responsible for your state e.g. for Houston follow the instructions here: http://www.cgihouston.org/page/display/65/19

1. Please please don't forget any document. The CIC is very strict unlike CEC i.e. no document, then rejection. For example please go through the Spread sheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ/htmlview?pli=1&sle=true#gid=1627896255 At the bottom you will see the applications rejected, and please read the reasons i.e. in the Remarks Column. You forget anything, and there is no next chance.

CC -> Credit Card Charge i.e. they opened your application and preliminary found everything included, and took your application fee.
PER -> Positive Eligibility Review i.e. "in principle" your application is OK i.e. 90% chance you will get it I think. They read stuff -> see rejections in the Spreadsheet.

CC comes before PER. However if you provide a bank draft you don't come to know it has been charged, and you simply get the PER email.

2. Funds should be shown at the time of application for sure. If you can get a bank statement, then I think it will work. I am personally not sure about the funds aspect because I had several times the amount.

3. NDVO seems to be pretty quick, but with the backlog, I am guessing around the time of your wedding i.e. by June. You can try looking at the previous years spread sheet to see how fast/slow NDVO is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Aovj20uHVWyzdGFqSGJUOEtVX0h5eWM0cXB5dlAtOEE&output=html

Many thanks mate. I really appreciate all your help.

Small question,

I wrote NDVO as my VO in the application but I have stayed in Canada for more than 4 years and currently I am in Australia as a Permanent Resident. But most of my work experience was in India.

Will they transfer to NDVO or the VO in Australia or Canada.

Thanks for helping

Mansee

Someone asked about photographs of family members; I don't know who however here is the answer.

In your application; you don't have to give your parents photographs if they are not applying in the same application. For your information here is a CIC weblink http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#family

You can only ask them to transfer your application to a country where you have a visa for more than a year i.e. Australia and India. I think you may be able to get them to transfer from NDVO to Australia. I however don't have personal experience.

Thanks dpriya. With letter you mean a single application form signed by both me and my spouse rite? Please correct me If I mis-understood. Also we still have to get two FD-258 fingerprints for both of us rite? (please check your inbox ;D)

Hi all,

I got FSW visa in June 2014 but as we were blessed with a baby on 29th may, we informed this to NDVO...So on 19th June NDVO mailed me to submit new born bay docs,DD for reissue of visa, visa and COPR....I submitted them on 29th June...and DD was encashed on 9th July...

After that a strange thing happened...I got mail from NDVO on 11th July for submission of new born bay docs,DD for reissue of visa, visa and COPR(similar to earlier mail of 19 June)....I raised a CSE on 14 July informing this...but I did not got an auto generated mail for confirmation of my CSE, which i usually get after a raising CSE...Still i waited for their reply but did not get any...so again i mailed NDVO on 4th Sep(as NDVO CSE link was down that time and this time I got auto generated mail)...but no rely yet...

As my DD for reissue of visa was en-cashed on 9 july, I hope my docs have reached NDVO safely and they have mailed me again for Doc submission by mistake....what is your say in this...
My application status is still showing decision made which i guess should have again changed to In process after submission of visa and COPR.

Also Its been 2.5 months since I submitted all docs but still I have not received medical request for my new born...my visa expiry date is in 29th Jan 2015...what should I do now..raise a CSE and request them to send medical for my baby at the earliest...

I have updated the spreadsheet. Just joined this forum few days back. But I do not have my App Received date. My consultant has it. I would ask him next time when I call him and update.

Cheers to All

Hello Seniors!!!

My application was received on May 29th, 2014. I am NOC 2132 applicant. When shall I expect PER email, if any?

I have UCI number, but don't see any update in ECAS too? Do they update ECAS before sending out PER?

ECAS is updated after sending out PER. CIC Was doing PERs for 26th May guys yesterday .... SO you gotta wait tilll next week...

PREDICTOR BABA saya: your PER by 24th September....
