MR

Friends,

This is my second post, but I am a frequent and silent viewer of this forum. My Heartiest congratulations to all who succeed to get their visa, MR, PER & CC charge. I have applied for NOC 2132 and my details below;

SS name - Remith
Application sent date - 14/05/2014 from Singapore

Application received date - 20/05/2014 @ 13: 30 (Local time)

CC charge - 28/08/2014

PER - 08/09/2014

Local VO - Delhi (I haven't select Singapore, as my current Employment pass going to expire soon and I am uncertain to stay in Singapore longer)

I have a question to all seniors and to fellow memberS of this forum, if possible please assist me to sort it out;

* As normal, expect to receive the MR call soon but I have doubt whether Medicals surely need to be taken from the current place of residence (Singapore) or else I can go to any other country with approved panel of doctor (Like India, Malaysia or Indonesia, etc..)??

The reason is just because of medical expense / check -up is quiet high, I have inquired with one approved clinic in Singapore and they told me S$ 275 .00 (Exclude GST) / Adult and S$ 150.00 (Exclude GST) / Kid,, which seems to me very unreasonable to pay such a huge amount for a quite small scale check-up. For same kind of check up in India is just INR 4200.00( Include GST) / Adult and INR 1500.00 (Include GST) / Kid (The rates got it from respective clinic from Mumbai, Chennai & Pune, may be you can expect slight changes).

So appreciated if you can drop of your comment or suggestion on the above..

Best Regards

Nair :) :) :) :) :)

Re: MR

You can do your medical check anywhere as long as it is approved by CIC. So, yes, you can do your checking from India. ;D ;D

Seniors, I recently became PR under CEC category. My fiancee lives in India. We are getting married next year mid. I initially thought I can apply for spouse sponsorship after our wedding. But it looks like it would take close to one year after our wedding which will be too late considering we already waited long enough. Instead, I felt I can apply for her PR under Federal skilled worker category this year.

Below are more details. I am sorry that I am not too familiar with the FSW process as I started working on seeking the possibilities just today. I am running short of time as I must apply for her this year. I do know the process of CEC and family class though. Request your expert opinions.

Age: 25
Exp: 4 years as software engineer
IELTS: Registered for Nov 1.
Degree: B.E computer science
Adaptability: none.
Noc: 2173

I am looking to apply for her by November mid. Is it possible for her to get PR. What is the maximum date that we can send the applications for this year to CIC. Please help.

Thanks

You can send request with justification/reason. They may honor you or not accept the request - it depends on them. Requesting won't harm you.

Question: How do I get the case specific email address at the VO?

Background:
From the discussion in this thread, I thought that once you get the MR, the VO provides you with a way to contact them for case specific queries. I just got my MR from CPC-Ottawa, but the email does not mention contacting them for case specific inquiries.

Does anyone have a clue how to make a case specific inquiry to the VO?

Very good news. Congratulation.

Congratulations on getting married soon! I'm curious what do you mean by your became PR i.e. either you have a PR or you don't? If you don't have PR I'm also curious why you don't want to sponsor your wife under CEC?
If you take the IELTS on Nov 1, the earliest you can apply is in the second half of Nov, so there is a chance you may not make it in the 1000. Nonetheless I encourage you to apply. (By the way, have you done your ECA.? that takes time.)

As far as FSW they are accepting 1000 applicants under NOC 2173 or until Dec 31st whichever is earlier. 2173 is a bit hot (i.e. in demand) so it may not last that long. You can check the current status http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp and put in 2173 in the filter box.

Thank you my friend. I meant I have received PR recently under CEC and I am currently in Canada. I am getting married only by next June. I can sponsor my fiancee only by July and seeing the current timelines for spouse sponsorship, I think it might take a year from next July to bring her here.

Thanks for the link, it says 273 applications have been filled yet. I am applying for ECA this week and expecting to have it by the time I apply for the PR. Do you see any glitch with this process? Am I missing something or should I be worried about anything, please advise? I do not want to oversee anything in the haste of applying fast.

Just in case her application doesn't go through, will I be able to apply for her through spousal sponsorship next July?
