Ohhh.... Good for you my friend.... I really wish I knew this before sending my application, I'm egyptian too but unfortunately chose London VO as i'm resident in Saudi Arabia, thinking it should be better than choosing Cairo VO.... my application already reached CIC on May 30th, I guess it is too late now, not really sure if there is any option to change VO after application is with CIC now?hope any one can answer me

@ Andy et al,

Though you guys may have sorted it out but I would refrain from claiming 22 points. Refer to the "CANADIAN equivalency summary" which states Bachelor's degree (four years). WES states the highest qualification which is BE in Andy's case and hence 21 points :)

There are numerous cases where WES states "CANADIAN equivalency summary" as : Degree A AND Degree B.. its only in those cases one can expect 22 points i.e. Two degrees or diploma

WES has their rationale for quoting "CANADIAN equivalency summary" as ECA is their forte and they are being paid for it. CIC has introduced ECA last year (and designated WES + other agencies) so that nobody else has to reinvent the wheel ! 8)

That's where my question arised. in summary they mentioned only Bechlor's & i was wondering if it needs to list 2 degree clearly. but contradict to that they have evaluated both degrees & given equivalency as 2 para.

So I assume that in case of Masters+Bechlors also, they might be listing only higher degree on summary section & as many no of paragraph as degrees.

I will claim for 22 points & will see if CIC grants it or only count 21.

Anyway, i was lucky enough to find you guys who responded & scrutinized... +1 for all who participated for this discussion.

Hello people

Need some information.

Is it compulsory to be present in person to get the visa stamped at the NDVO.

And how much time is given to land in canada after getting the visa stamped on ur passport .

any information about this is highly appreciated.

Thanks

vinisha

If your passport is requested then it means your interview is waived & no physical presence required.
For interview only, you need to be present.

Visa validity is 1 year from your Medical within which you need to enter to complete landing formalities. Only in some special circumstances you can request extension for that.
