Need some information.

Is it compulsory to be present in person to get the visa stamped at the NDVO.

And how much time is given to land in canada after getting the visa stamped on ur passport .


any information about this is highly appreciated.

I am not sure about NDVO, but generally you can send the passport by mail to the VO.

I have heard from this forum that as long as you have sufficient time on your passport i.e. your passport is valid for more than a year or two, you get 1 year from the date of your medical to land in Canada. I don't have personal experience though.

Got PER today. @ May 26th applicant, CC charged on Sept 11.

All thanks to God and all you beautiful people for your encouragement.

God shall prevail on AVO and they shall open our books soon so we 2014 FSW applicants can start getting MRs.

AbdelAllah I too received my MR from CPC-Ottawa yesterday. I'm curious to know what you are looking for in the contents of the email.

I do not want to share my emails for privacy reasons. However I can say that I got two emails.

The first was from a DO NOT Reply address that had a PDF form that we need to take for the Medical. It had really no content other than telling you that it is an automated email and if you are unable to view the document please email here. By the way, the PDF had my details and an instruction page which is for most part given here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp


The second email was a bit more formal. It had my name, address, UCI etc. It said something like:

Dear My Name:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Medical examination for yourself (Medical Instructions will be sent separately via email within the next 48 hours)

· Original PCC Certificates (Edited for privacy puroses)

· Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for yourself. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa. Please follow these steps:


· Go to the website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en
· Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed
· Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”
· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant
· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490
· Click “Submit”
· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card
Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format. You must send the receipt to CPC-O.

isnt there an extension of police verification that goes through police department to FBI. I think that takes less time as they have different timelines for these cases.

While posting my application I did not notice the expiry date in our passports. Just checked the dates and my daughter's passport is due to expire on 10th October 2014. I need to get the passport renewed ASAP, do I need to send the new passport copy once I get the new one? If yes, mentioning NOC on the cover is enough or wait until I get an UCI? Please advice.

Question: How do I get the case specific email address at the VO?

Background:
From the discussion in this thread, I thought that once you get the MR, the VO provides you with a way to contact them for case specific queries. I just got my MR from CPC-Ottawa, but the email does not mention contacting them for case specific inquiries.

Does anyone have a clue how to make a case specific inquiry to the VO?

I am hoping some seniors answer your question. However since this is a copy not an original, there is no harm in sending it right away. If for some reason they misplace it, then you can always send another copy I personally don't want them to open your application sometime after Oct 10, and reaslize her passport is expired. I don't think this would be cause for rejection, but confusion.

No problem. Many others have posted their MR Emails here, so I did not want to repeat it. Also the MR Email is different for each VO. So if you are not under CPC-Ottawa, you may get something different.
