Hi Everyone!
Super-nervous - looking to send in my application in the next few days under the Marketing occupation on the list for this year. Quick Question - i'm a single applicant, never been married. Do i need to download the Additional Dependents/Declaration form and mention NA (not applicable) or can i just ignore it altogether. I know it sounds like a stupid question but CIC does stress everywhere on the website that the whole package must be filled out.
It would be great if someone could please confirm.
Thanks,
J.

There are 3 options:

Pregnancy and the immigration medical exam

Canadian Immigration requires that all adult applicants, without exception, have a chest X-ray at some stage. This is a part of the tuberculosis control program. If you are pregnant and are concerned about having an X-ray, you have a few options:

You can have the X-ray now, with a special protective shield covering your abdomen. This protects your baby from radiation. (This is probably safe but no guarantee can be given. Consult your own doctor for advice)

You can do the other parts of your medical examination now and have the X-ray after the birth of your baby. However, your medical report will not be submitted to CIC until the X-ray examination is completed.

You can postpone the whole examination until after the birth of your baby.

Also there is a form on this IMM5733E get it from the web as I am not being allowed to post the link.

And according to canadavisa.com:
6. If I am pregnant, will I still have to undergo the medical examination?
For the safety of the fetus, X-rays are not taken of pregnant applicants until after delivery of the baby. After the birth, the mother and infant will undergo medical examinations.

Thank you so much for the info Century this is very helpful. I am just hoping they don't cancel the application because of the delay. Anyway will proceed to do our PCC first as that is more tedious.

hhhmmm kind of yes, @vijayag
4a - Your Indian Passport will be Stamped with PR of Canada
4b - Stay at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying Citizenship
4c - Dual PP is way far from now, GOD knows rules might get change

To Answer Your 4th Question, Your Indian Passport will be Stamped with PR of Canada and after 2 Years stay in Canada you can apply for Citizenship only then you will get your Canadain Passport but your Indian Passport will be Cancelled as you cannot have Dual Citizenship and you need to get a Visa to come to India, Others Please Correct me if i am wrong.

Yes, you should inform but not now. Once you get your PER, inform your VO about it.

Hi Experts,

I am a newbie to this forum though I've been following it for a while now. I am going to send my application in mid of November for FSW2014. Will it be late to submit application in November mid for FSWP 2014?

I scored Overall 6 in IELTS and giving it again to score higher in November first week. I went abroad to implement the project early this year and things got delayed - right from fetching transcripts from university, WES evaluation, etc. I am currently waiting for WES evaluation report. I had sent requests to HR from current and previous IT firms to receive experience letter with no more delays.

I am working as software engineer in current organisation though I am involved in database analysis and ETL programming (Unix shell scripting). I am confused under which NOC I will fall and which will be safe bet since I am late in applying already.

While choosing NOC which is given preference - designation OR roles and responsibilities in letter. I can relate 4 NOC with the nature of work I am doing currently or in the past. NOC 2171 to 2174 but 2172 looks more like my current work profile. If i consider my past experience i can consider other three NOC's too. I have total 7 years IT experience.

Please advise.

Hello all

Good Day!

Anyone can confirm me after getting per email if my application got rejected then will CIC/ local VO will update me?

I got PER email on 8th Aug but till now no file transfer or any other information i received :(

No Dear,
This does not confirms that CIC started June Applications.

Fees are collected by accounts, and Application verification is another department.
so this could be a case, here Applicant forget some Fee related document or form or DD/CC. so the reason, the file was returned the same time. so here if no proper fees, no verification required from CIC POV.

BUT, for you soon it will be answered by CIC, with PER status in ur email. :)

Hello Friends!

If one is doing payment online on "https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en" then:
1) Is it mandatory to make payment usinf credit card or visa or master card will also work.
2) What amount as per rupees should be transfered.

Thanks in Advance

Hi,

You can connect to the same branch where you applied for DD. They may ask for the scan copy of the DD and will revert back in a day.

I have also got it through ICICI bank and the concerned officer briefed me about this procedure.

Lalit

Thanks !!

To me, 2172 will remain open. So keep preparing and increase IELTS score. Min 6 in each module is mandatory.

If you get 6 out of 9 bands in each category, you'll be fine.
