Hi dear all

Now I'm going to send my application and have a question. I read on the forum that one shouldn't either staple the forms or documents. Is it true? Does it mean that one should send them a bunch of papers on the top of each other?

Thanks

According to CIC leave the document unbound but you can use paper clip

Thanks Century for your input. Have prepared my new covering letter. and I figured out about the Courier Address too. This covering letter mentions all details quite elaborately.
I had made one other mistake in the Generic Application that could sink my application. I am trying hard to patch up this mistake through this covering letter. The mistake is wrong selection of VO. I, foolishly, mentioned a Visa Application Center instead of a Visa Office. Please have a look at my new covering letter and tell me if you think this might work:

To,
Review Officer
Citizenship and Immigration Canada,
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category or Arranged Employment Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: 2173
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

Respected Sir / Madam,

Sub: Request to accept new credit card details for the Fee Payment Application of the FSWP application of Mr. XXX and Mrs. YYY

I, XXX, had applied for a Permanent Residence permit for Canada along with my wife, Mrs. YYY, in the first week of June 2014. According to the courier service that delivered our application, it was delivered on 5th June 2014 to your office to Mr. Mike.

In the application, I had enclosed the Fee Payment Form providing the details of my credit card. Unfortunately, I lost that credit card [ending 7292] on 3rd August 2014. So I had to apply for a new credit card whose number is different from the one provided in the Fee Payment Form originally submitted. I, kindly, request you through this letter to consider the details of the new credit card [ending 1499] which I enclose through a Fee Payment Form so that the FSWP processing fee can be debited from the new credit card account.

Also, I have made a mistake in the Generic Application Form [IMM0008ENU_2D] in my originally submitted application which was received by CIC on 5th June 2014. For the 4th question in Application Details namely “Immigration Office requested for processing this application”, I have wrongly entered a Visa Application Centre [VFS Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, India] instead of a Visa Office in my residing country. Please, kindly, consider the Immigration Office for my application to be “New Delhi, Visa Office” instead of the one that I have mentioned in the Generic Application.

In order to facilitate the addition of the above details to my original application, I am providing the following details that should help in identifying the application:
1. Original Documents received at CIO on 05 Jun 14 1:53 PM sent from Bangalore, India on 31 May 14
Applicant Name Date of Birth Passport Number
Principal Applicant XXX DD/MM/YYYY XXXXXXX
Dependent YYY DD/MM/YYYY YYYYYYY

2. NOC : Software engineers and designers (2173)
3. Email Id: XXX.YYY @ ZZZ.com
4. Telephone No: XXXXXXXXX [Cellular]
YYYYYYYYY [Home]
5. Contact Address provided: XYZ

Enclosed Documents:
1. Fee Payment Form [IMM5620E] – containing new credit card details with authorization
2. Copy of Generic Application Form [IMM0008ENU_2D] – containing all of the primary and secondary applicant details with the corrected Immigration Processing Visa Office [“New Delhi, Visa Office” ] with signature
3. Photocopy of the DHL Courier Receipt for the application sent to CIC on 5th June 2014
4. DHL Courier tracking summary for the delivery of the application to CIC.

Please do the needful with these additional documents which are enclosed herewith.

Thanking You,

Friend of mine has following education from Indian University:

1- Bachelors in Computer App ( Part time ) - 3 years but regular.
2- Advanced Diploma in French - 3 years.

How many points he can get for Education on above degree n diploma ?

Also he has Post Graduation through distance learning....Can he get points for distance learning course ???

Hi...You can check the same from WES website for free using their free evaluation tool by inputting Univ name and other details...

https://www.wes.org/ca/preliminary/poe.asp

let us know once you get the Canadian equivalency results. We can then helpyou out.

2172. Other category might be capped out.

I have total 7 yrs of experience. Out of 7 yrs, 5 yrs fall under 2173 and rest two years is 2172. In these two years I have performed approx. 80 % of the main duties of 2172.
Please guide which NOC I should apply under, considering the CIC caps for these two categories.

is it safe to send a complete new application eventhough I already filed an application and sent additional package earlier.
I have all the necessary docs ready to launch a fresh application.
plz advise.

PF? are you sure? I dont think thats liquidable and can be showcased as settlement fund.

PF is liquid and can be shown as POF.

When you leave for Canada, you are obviously going to quit your current job. And as per Indian regulations, PF and other retirals have to be cleared by the employer within 30 days of last day of service of an employee.

srbhrn brother,

I have myself shown my PF account balance from EPFO passbook as POF and tomorrow, I am going for Medicals. 8) 8)

Wish me luck, Guys :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Lord Krishna bless us all!!!!!

best wishes brother.. that is certainly news for me .. did you take a print from epassbook from http://members.epfoservices.in/

how would that be original then? this is important to me .. could you please share the exact steps you did... including how to showcase conversion in CAD

It depends on the agreement/policy but for most cases, it is fairly liquid. If the PF can be encashable when employee leave a company, it is thought to be liquid and CIO accepts it.

Yes every thing unbound because your application will be distributed to team of VO/Staff for completeness check, In my case I did not use any staple but I use three paper clip for DD, Photo and translation + affidavit
