My wife's name on her PP is her Maiden Name/Pre-Marriage name.
We got our PER already last week. Do we need to renew and update her PP into Post-Marriage name?

or we can use her Pre-Marriage PP until we get our VISA and later on update her PP in Canada?.

You can wait for the VISA and after that update in your country itself before landing in Canada. Ensure you carry the old and new passport always. This is because, you will need to give the passport to correct it, and at this time, not advised..if there is any delay for whatever reasons..as stupid as book for printing not available! You do carry the marriage certificate all the while when you travel to Canada. Best Regards!

For me in Mumbai it took 10-12 days for results to be available online and then 7 more days for paper copy to reach my home by post.

How long does it take to have IELTS result copy in hand from the date of exam...

Dude,

Sorry to hear about your case, I would encourage you to file the application again with the updated forms and info, you can use the same job reference letter. And also would appreciate if you update the entry in the SS, as I didn't find your case details there.

I believe your application was received at CIC on 2-June, so it's means CIC has initiated the process of checking the document completeness for June people.

Dear members,
Need your guidance related to PCC..I am currently working in USA and went to India on vacation in July2014 for a month. Do I need to obtain PCC from India as well?
Also, in a link for PCC-USA, it says: "Processing times are normally between 16 and 18 weeks. The FBI will send you a letter with the results of their record check. That letter will be your police certificate....." So does it really takes too long for PCC from USA or its just the max time?
Please shed more light on this or if any fellow member has done PCC from USA! Thanks much.

For date/sign change just replace last page(s) with new one(s). No need to refill all forms again if newer forms are not there on CIC website. Getting fresh letter from current company is a good idea.

CIC will reimburse themselves in some time. No need to contact for a while.

Dear Seniors,

I was going through the ss and observed some entries for the first week of may, some of them charged and some of them received PER, but no further update after that. What could be the case with these, from your past experience. Some reason i could think of is, ss not being updated, got rejected, fake entries, etc. But, your experience might nail down more appropriate reason, please enlighten.
