Hello dear all,

I have 2 questions about the documents:

1. The bar code pages should be on the top of the application forms. They are 2 pages which contains bar codes and the second page should be signed by the applicant. So my question is: Do I need to separate these pages from the Generic form, put them on the top, and then put the checklist and the the rest page of the Generic form? ??? ???

2. The guide says that the envelop should be 23x30.5 cm. I want to DHL my application and they have one size envelop which is bigger than those measures. What should I do? :o

Thanks in advance

My Friend

That is not a matter... Use any envelope even 230 X 30.5 meter ;D
Also, arrange the first two papers as you would like

Hi , thanks a lot for all this info ..
Well my wife already has a letter given by her employer and also other proof's .. So hopefully it should be fine .. Thanks heaps :) Just a last query please .. Could you please explain me ielts points how are they calculated .? My wife has L-6.5, R-6.5, W-7, S-7 so does that make 16 points .? 4 per ability

Your welcome, glad to be of help.
IELTS points can be calculated based in the point scoring in the table in CIC site : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

L-6.5, R-6.5, W-7, S-7 = L-4 , R- 5, W- 6, S- 6. = Total 21 points,
if you have also done your IELTS and you get minimum points ([IELTS = 4.0 (Speaking), 4.5 (Listening), 3.5 (Reading), 4.0 (Writing)]) , 5 points will be awarded to her app for adaptability.

Good Luck!! :)

Hi Folks,
I have prepared the document checklist and mailed them on 20 June 2014 (reached CIC on 26 June 2014). Regarding the payment, I opted to pay through credit card and for this, I filled the payment form and included it in the checklist. With the recent RBI (Reserve Bank of India) rules (concerning safety measures), the Government has announced to replace all the existing credit cards to an EMV chip enabled credit cards. Now, I'm afraid about the situation as the credit card details which I included in the form was non-chip enabled. The new credit card number is going to replace the old one. I have contacted the bank (Citibank) regarding this and they said that the current card is valid for 50 more days(approx. upto 25 Oct 2014) and apart from that, they couldn't do anything. Could any one please assist me the right approach (what could be done from my end as a proactive step) to avoid delays in processing my application?

QID : vjiklslejyfnbsrqaz

Thanks...

1. no need to put them on top separately, keep them serial wise as they are. remember to sign them.

2. forget the guide, u must put ur whole app package in one envelope that should and must be roughly the same size as mentioned in the guide, can be little shorter or larger, don't worry about that. close your envelope and put that envelope inside dhl packing/envelope. don't put papers directly in dhl bag, they can get lost. and don't worry about dhl envelope size. its standard and cio has no issues with it.

hope this helps. good luck.

ok my bad that I didn't mentioned that.........I m looking for one way only, I will be flying and no coming back until getting citizenship :D

so do u suggest these online services are reliable? has anyone used them? is there any chance of fraud or scams? like we book flights and at some point don't get it or come to know our booking was cancelled or booking was never made, other monetary frauds?

thanks a lot for the reply.

Farhaan,

These are only search sites (kayak.com and momondo.com). They actually take you to the airline or travel company website once you click to buy tickets.

And these are reputed sites. Rest assured !!

Also 240,000 is not the fare from Karachi to Toronto..You are probably wrongly looking at return fares. (Thats what I meant).

Single way fares start from 137,000. Do let me know.

Thank you for the answer. But I am not sure if I have understood the order. On one hand guide says the checklist should be used as cover page and after that comes the Generic. On the other hand it says the bar code pages (which are the last pages of the Generic form) should be on the top. How is that possible? ::) ::)

hello guys,

I already got my per n ss updated.

I jus joined a foreign professional body and about enrolling for their certification, do I need to update my visa office with this information?

thanks.

If you joined as a member before your application, you should have already informed of that in your application and then can update of the exam, after you successfully complete it. But if you have just joined, I guess you can wait for the VO communication for PCC / MR and update then. I am assuming it is a Professional Membership outside Canada.
