I don't think it is necessary to legalise the PCC anywhere in the world as long as it is issued by a competant authority..ajorget said:Hello senior members!
Just one quick question regarding police certificates ...
In my case I have to submit police certificates from my country and Spain, but when I sent my application (August 22), I only sent the certificate from my country, since I din't want to waste time. According to CIC, it's fine if one doesn't submit police certificates with the application, but one must be ready to submit them in case the VO request them.
Now I'm preparing to request the one from Spain. When I called they mentioned that if the certificate was to take effect in Canada, I should legalize it too, which takes another process... My question is, is it really necessary to legalize the police certificates? In CIC's website, they don't mention this.
Please advice.
Thank you.
"Note. We strongly recommend that you submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested.
Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one."
Century said:It is rather undisputed issue. Anyway, see page 12 note at http://www. cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf
Note: The “Employment Requirements” listed in the NOC description for each occupation are not
applicable.
Like Century mentioned, this point is not an issue if you don't work in a regulated profession like a doctor. You can find examples if you do some search of your own (in the spreadsheet, previous posts in this thread etc).Nrsing3152 said:could you please suggest me any similar case?

I would like to share an awesome news with awesome people here:
Payment mode: CC
NOC: 2171
Date application received: 28 May 2014
Date new CC details received by CIO (sent by me because old Credit card blocked by BofA): 5 June 2014
Payment charged: 12 September 2014 12:31pm Eastern Time
(Email received from BofA: "We're letting you know your credit card was used for a transaction without swiping it through a machine. This means the transaction was made online, by phone or mail, or at a physical location where the retailer keyed in your card number.
Here are the details of the credit card charge:
Amount: $1,006.30
Merchant: CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW
Transaction date: 09/12/2014
The amount shown above is what the merchant initially submitted. The final amount posted to your account may vary based on the final information received from the merchant.
You can sign in to Online or Mobile Banking to review your account activity. If you don't recognize this charge, please call us at 1.800.732.9194.")
Following is the description of transaction on my credit card account online:
"CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW
Transaction date: 09/12/2014
Card type: Visa
Transaction type: Temp Auth / Pending Pymt
Reference number: TEMP"
I called BofA and confirmed. They said that this transaction has been approved.
Thank God and thanks to the experts on this forum that my amount got deducted even though the original CC was blocked. Payment has been charged against my new CC.
Being a 28 May applicant, I was not expecting any action before next week but thankfully got the good news today!!!! HAPPY WEEKEND..PARTY TIME!!
Will update the spreadsheet soon.
