Yes you have to maintain the balance throughout the process... If VO asks for Updated account statement then you are gone...............

You have to choose one of the dream
Totally untrue. If he has other money and still has sufficient settlement funds it is perfectly fine.

Thanks k_b. Its hard to choose. Can I not show them what did I use the money for? Anyway I will be making payment through cheque which would would reflect the builder name in the statement. I will provide all relevent property documentation. Meanwhile can I not have a fixed deposit opened well before CIC takes up my case for evaluation. Yes its risky but, no one can guarentee if I will be within cap or not. Can this reasoning be good enough for them to understand?

If all the money is really yours it's no problem at all.

My personal feeling is that you should let it delivered now and send additional documentation in a seperate package, as your mistake doesnt seem to be too big. While sending additional documentation make sure that you follow the procedure outlined in the forum.

My only issue with that is you should ask yourself the question: "What else might I NOT have included that should have been?" At least if you get it back you can double and triple check. Ultimately, however, the decision as to whether to recall or send additional documents later is your own.

By maintaining the balance I meant this only :P :P

And just because one day I suggested you to check if a query is already answered mutiple times, before answering whenever you come online; you should not be holding grudge against me...

Hello Everyone,

I have query on Generic Application Form.

What should I choose for DEPENDANT TYPE from Type A/B/C/1/2
1) spouse
2) 5 years old chid

================== I found following on CIC site ============================

From the list, select the type of dependant:

Type 1
The dependent is under the age of 19 and single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type 2
The dependent is 19 years of age or older, has been financially dependent on a parent since before the age of 19 due to a physical or mental condition.

The following types of children are for applicants who started an immigration process before August 1st, 2014.

Type A
The dependant is under the age of 22 and single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type B
The dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either:

since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).

Type C
The dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.
type 1 for your child.
As I know, there are no dependant type for spouse.
In my case, when I chose dependant's relationship as spouse in the generic application form, blank for dependent type became inactive.
I applied in May.

Don't worry. This will not be a reason for rejection, just a little painful for them :D

Good Luck, don't stress about this :)

Thanks. now relaxed :)

If you are currently applying, it got to be Type 1. Before August, it was Type A.
