Hello Everyone,

I have query on Generic Application Form.

What should I choose for DEPENDANT TYPE from Type A/B/C/1/2
1) spouse
2) 5 years old chid

================== I found following on CIC site ============================

From the list, select the type of dependant:

Type 1
The dependent is under the age of 19 and single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type 2
The dependent is 19 years of age or older, has been financially dependent on a parent since before the age of 19 due to a physical or mental condition.

The following types of children are for applicants who started an immigration process before August 1st, 2014.

Type A
The dependant is under the age of 22 and single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type B
The dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either:

since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).

Type C
The dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.

Check this quote from another applicant who did the same. So if you have a feeling inside get your app returned but sending an additional package also works. May be a delay of 2-5 days from other applicants of your date.

@ leillooola, @ krunal and all friends
Good news! I have received my PER on 12 Sep @ 2.11am.
NOC 1123
Application recd: 20 May
For info:
1. I have self-attested duties
2. I sent an additional package on 29 May (received at CIC on 4 Jun) containing left-out reference letter signed by my immediate superior, and acknowledged by CIC to have successfully matched with the initial aplication
3. I did not write my name on the space on consent and declaration on IMM0008 form but I signed it
4. I checked with HSBC on 2 Sept but DD still not cashed yet and about to check again today
5. I used tons of staples
6. I left gaps in history
7. I did not send mailing labels
Good luck to all who are waiting.
Admin pls update my entry in SS. Thanks.

If I was in your shoes, I would have done this. Applying for an Hot NOC I would leave the one that has already gone and send an additional package. If NOC is Cold I would get the package returned.

It depends on each persons usage habits and the association the person has had with a particular bank. If you are an old customer then you have trust with the banking institution and the way it works. Risk, after all is present in DD as well, as rightly pointed by Manish. I do agree with those who say the card should be literally in a locker until CIC charges you (lest the file is incomplete!).

If a person uses his/her CC card at the drop of a hat, then yes. It wouldn't be advisable to use it as a payment method since the credit limit may be exceeded due to over indulgence.

Edit: looking at anuragchigs case, it makes me look foolish :-X

I disagree on this point and still maintain that DD is better.

But +1 to you for this healthy discussion. :)

do you think second option will not work as if get the file back i will lose two weeks

Better to be safe and recall package and send a complete package that gets PER, then wait months only for rejection. I say best swallow two weeks and be safe

guys
my file is on the way, i forget to include some important documents . which is better to get my file returned or keep it and send addtional documents

If its still in transit, and can get it returned, work on that right away.
If the above is not possible send out the addendum documents.

Hello Everyone!

Many congrats to the people who got their PER and wish them a best of luck for their future procedures. For those who are still waiting for their PER, good news is on its way so stay calm and enjoy the blessing s of life which you have.

I am June 11 applicant under NOC 1112 and keeping this trend it seems that cic is charging May 27 applicants. Can we assume that May will be cleared by Monday 22nd Sept, 2014? If this is the case then my application will not be charged before Oct 11 i.e 4 months from the application date which will be quite unusual as people get their DD charged in less than 4 months.

Secondly, the cases are usually given a first review 10 days before they are charged so can I assume that June 2nd weeks applications are being reviewed at the moment. Lastly, My job reference letter consists of half the responsibilities given on cic site so can it lead to rejection?

Appreciate your kind input specially seniors like ashifee, oscar, century etc. Have a good weekend.

Regards.

Easily bro. I'd be rooting for your application to be CC charged latest by 3rd October.... and your PER latest by 12th October................ The nOC guidelines are guidelines ... you can not include each one of them... even if you have 2/3 of the main responsibilities, you're good to go .... Take my word man ... !! You're all set to goto Canada ... ... Cheers !!
