MIKEY as per SS, i meant...not by the actual day... :)
anyways thanks

Would be better if it was Friday night, it's been a long hard week at work

Nope not advisable to do so,
still u will hv to be prepared against local VO,
if there is a query you might hv to answers/proofs a lot...so better keep it as it is.
you can do one thing, can withdraw, but later on when process starts at VO much ahead of that u hv to bring them back

Hi Guys,

I am 13th August applicant for NOC 2171. Yesterday on the forum I saw a comment from someone saying that proof of funds should be maintained for 6 months. Is this true? I provided my bank account statement as proof of funds.

Now I want to withdraw entire amount as I have shortlisted a property in Bangalore and getting a mouth watering offer. When need arrives for proof of funds (if VO asks) I can arrange money once again. Is it mandatory that I need to keep money in my account idle? If I take out money now, will it have impact on my application?

Any suggestion would really help.

Thanks for the update obryan20 +1 :). Two years back there was a rumour that they are going to start giving multiple entry 10 year visa, just like the US B1/B2 visa. Any idea, if 10 year period is implemented now? I had got 2 year multiple entry then.

Yes, I remember reading somewhere (maybe on a Canadian Embassy/High Commission site) that all new applicants are going to be automatically considered for a multiple entry visa for as much as 10 years. I think it is they who determine what period to actually give you.

EDIT: Found the exact link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=417&t=16

I can see where ur all attention is going to... ;)
of course its a great next week coming for you....GuDLuk

Yes you have to maintain the balance throughout the process... If VO asks for Updated account statement then you are gone...............

You have to choose one of the dream

Thanks palakpatel911. Thats a relief, It may atleast take another two months before my application is taken for evaluation. As you said I would prefer to take out money now and bring it back probably by end of the year in the form of equity or fixed deposit.

@ leillooola, @ krunal and all friends
Good news! I have received my PER on 12 Sep @ 2.11am.
NOC 1123
Application recd: 20 May
For info:
1. I have self-attested duties
2. I sent an additional package on 29 May (received at CIC on 4 Jun) containing left-out reference letter signed by my immediate superior, and acknowledged by CIC to have successfully matched with the initial aplication
3. I did not write my name on the space on consent and declaration on IMM0008 form but I signed it
4. I checked with HSBC on 2 Sept but DD still not cashed yet and about to check again today
5. I used tons of staples
6. I left gaps in history
7. I did not send mailing labels
Good luck to all who are waiting.
Admin pls update my entry in SS. Thanks.

Congratulations. Thanks for the update and +1 :)
Did you email them about the additional package you sent and did you get confirmation of your additional docs added to your initial package over email?

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that there were issues with my and my husbands Birth Certificate (Read - incorrect spelling/ no name mentioned on BC)

I provided original BC's in the form they were. Affidavit from both parents stating that it is me and why the error on BC. Translation in one BC and the affidavit by the translator.

All this and I have my PER too now.

Now once requested I am planning to send the rectified/ new BCs to NVDO.

Got both BC's fixed meanwhile. changing spelling is simple - parent(since we dont live in India) went to Mumbai Muncipality I believe and placed a request. It was ready within a week.

Name on BC was obtained as the hospital I was born in still existed and have family on the board there - pulled some strings - obtained records - approached muncipality and it was done ...i guess in a month.

Hope this helps someone get clarity.

Good luck!!

Congratulations and thanks for the update +1 :)

please refer the email you got for PER, its stated in there ...
