Guys who have used CC for payment,

I think it is a good idea to call up your bank and confirm to allow the transaction by CIC to pass through.
This is really required if you havent done any transaction of this value in the recent past as some of these might get block for confirmation to prevent fraud. Also, since the charge would be outside your country of regular usage.

I am sure most of you would have thought about this, but thought it put a reminder in case you havent..

Better be safe!

Thanks for the reminder! It should be heeded most by using PSU bank issued cards.

Hi wolf_metallo, do mention all jobs that especially fall under Skill level 0, A and/or B, coz you get points for total experience. Also from hrd site, they normally match the job duties, not much the experience or the education qualification.

2171 is about Analyst profile. Analysis on any kind of IT system. While 2173/2174 is development related. for 2171 noc there is no programming involved neither expected.

Hi varuen, I agree - 2171 is more from consulting/analyst point of view. However, under "Employment Requirements" on the NOC description page (http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2171&val65=*) they mention that "Experience as a computer programmer is usually required."

This had made me think that I can put my prior development experience as part of 2171, so as to make a total of 6 years of work-ex, rather than 4. But based upon others' suggestions, i'll rather make it 2173 and let the CIC take the call.

Hi Guys, just came to know from ICICI bank, my DD got encashed on 5th sept, 21st may appplicant, noc : 2132.....what a relief....good luck to everyone...

I Too have sent ICICI bank DD, app reached 18th june...I'm worried about my DDs valadity. Did you specifically got the 6 months DD or you just took the DD with CAD without any special process??
