A slightly larger envelope is fine. Seal it with an adhesive and don't overdo it because i believe the courier company will re-seal it again before transporting the package.

Updating the passports will take couple of months.

Why don't you get both the passports updated first (adding spouse name) and then go for PCC ? PCC is a one day job.

1.There is no place specified to do such but to clear your mind,you may do it on a plain sheet in form of a cover letter.Calculate your points and show how you met 67points.....that will be fine.
2.Since spouse did not write the IELTS for adaptation points,the response to the question MUST be NO.
3.UAE applicants are in better position to respond to this.
4.You have to fill your local visa office nd in your case,you should be picking London visa office.NDVO is an option for you too if you can accommodate the running up and down in your program but i believe LVO is fine for you.
Don't leave it blank .

Thanks Kollins. Regarding VO, I may have to do up down for both VO as I may move to another location before my application reaches VO. So it really doesn't matter which one I pick!

She got d uci from dis mail...sh dint apply last year....d mail say ur application for PR was received on 21 may 2014.....is it a PER mail....how can it b a general mail....cic people dont send general mails I guess...help

Please check if the mail contains below sentence :

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014.

If yes, then its PER mail.

Yes.. As per the trend all 7th May applicants ( I am not counting exceptional cases) should get MR in next 2 to 3 weeks.. As per Sheet there are around 50 applicants remaining for NDVO whose application reached on 7th may who are waiting for MR... So check your email on daily basis and let us know where should we come for the party.. What about this weekend...I am 100% sure if not this weekend then by next weekend you should plan for the party...

Have you checked on the same ? Usually it takes not more than 3 weeks. These days, fresh passports are being issued in 4 weeks time only.

Hi Guys,

My wife's passport and mine are not updated with spouse's name. So while applying for PCC from passport office online, what should be filled in Marital Status field (Single or Married).
Have anyone faced such situation while applying for PCC from India? Pls suggest

I had the same situation.
I would advice dont apply for PCC from Passport office as they had rejected my application due to "married" wrriten in form and the passport was not having the spouse name.
There are 2 alternatives. 1) take your PCC from police station you wont get any difficulties. and you will get that with married status.
2) reissue your passport first. then apply for PCC from passport office.

At that time I opted option 1.

We got the PCC with the name of my wife of before her marriage.
As we are providing marriage certificate, we need to write married. However your wife will have the name in PCC as per the passport only.

the height is the PCC says Mrs (My wife name) (her father name) (her surname). Hope you got this sign ;D

The later part story is, to get the PR card for my wife with my name as a surname, we both updated our passport. Now will submit this updated details to NDVO once I get the PER.

In case, if earlier PCC are no longer valid for NDVO and if they ask then again I will send them new PCC as per our new passport.

No not all cities.

PCC from one city only, better to get it from the address which you have shown as your permanent address.

My consultant tells me to get it done from all cities where you have stayed for 6 months or more.. Please help me with this query guys.

I've lost out on it mikeypm.... I have conceded my optimistic predictions have been close but failed ... in your case only 1 received date difference ... seems like one 23rd may was charged on 05Sept. 24th 25th weekend ... You should hear max in 3 days .... but hopefully by tuesday ...

Iam a May8th applicant,PER received on 13th Aug.Since my VO is Newdelhi am expecting the MR before Oct 15th.Iam expecting a baby by Nov 15th.Kindly give your valuable suggestion if i have to inform VO post MR mail or now itself.

Wait for the communication from NDVO.. and they will give you 45 days or a particular date to submit the documents and in that email I guess they mention the additional information also such as life changing events for example marriage, divorce, birth etc etc... You can wait till November 15th to respond... At present NDVO is asking to provide the documents by 20th October which is 45 days ahead of the MR email.. So if you will get the MR request by 10th October then also you have time.. At present you should not worry about these.. Congrats and take care for the upcoming good newses

Also do I need to send PCC now or later stage when Case Office ask for it?
