FIFO is not purely followed at CIC. So relax and wait for some time. For all you know, you may get the CC charged and receive the PER mail within this week.

Thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully that would be the case. I still believe that if it's meant for me, it will come. :) +1

Hi Ashif/century/oscar7/shah2014

Seniors, i called cic customer care number many time ,but nobody updated my application status, but today after entering my UCI number and YOB , the auto message was WE RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION ON 21ST MAY2014. My payment mode is DD(icici bank). How many days it may take to get PER from your experience?

P.S. Icici bank confirmed on 27th aug that the DD is still outstanding....asked again awaiting reply and ECAS not updated yet.

u mean to say they are not going to mail of the DD encashment only PER mail

Yes, CIC do not confirm whether they enchashed DD or charged the credit card. It's for you to find out with your bank or credit card provider. If unable to confirm with your bank then your best option is to wait for the PER.

Hi, just continue to wait patiently till you get the expected feedback. No one can really tell you when CIC will update your ecas status because just as our applications are all different so also our time lines are different. Cheers :)

You are good. I don't think your application will be rejected because at the time form got updated you application was already in transit.

Just a small correction, actually application was sent on 16th June not 13th June & received by CIC on 20th June. However new form was uploaded on 16th June. Please suggest if it will be okay.

Brother, Congrats!!! :) Please check SS or even better palakpatel's post will give a good idea (it can be found in the last 10-12 pages). There is no fixed # of days - it can range widely from 5 days to 50 days. Check palakpatel's post (and if need be also excel SS)

PS - Calling CIC CS is usually a waste of time, as many people here have confirmed
Thanks Oscar7 for your valuable reply.
My friend kushalmehta whose application was received on 9th may , noc 2132 got PER on 18th aug...pls see if anyone can update.

Even am in the same dilemma I sent my application on 21st August and some forms were updated on somewhere in August. Just praying and staying strong as the changes were for dependent children, however am a single applicant with no dependants, it's too late to update the it.

No need to highlight. Try to leave the docs in their original state. CIC people are experts and do not rely on highlighted text only. ;) ;)

Hi, CIC is not interested in designations but duties that match your NOC on your reference letter. Hours for full time work should also be reflected in the reference letter. Cheers :)

I have compared the previous form with current one as I also have sent the old form on18th June. The only difference is in the consent section on last page where in new form they have also asked if you consent to be contacted by CIC for some services. This is not relevant to the immigration process, so semantically both forms are same, so should not be an issue. Moreover in your case the date you signed the form is before the form was changed.

Hi Seniors,

Please advise, today i received call from my consultant and has been informed that their is high possibility that my application will be rejected due to use of old generic form (Main application) while filing my case. As per him applicants after 17 June 2014 have to fill the new generic form IMM 0008(Main application). However my file received by CIC on 20 June which was sent on 13th June from myside during that point of time i wasn't aware of this change of form. I am worried, and Please suggest what shall i do.

regards

+1 for the analysis and explaining the difference in forms.

LOL needs, wants and desires are all different things - he might not need to but what if he so desires? :) CIC won't return a file for highlighting a few key items, I am sure!!! He'll be fine even if he highlights 2 or 3 things.

Absolutely right Oscar. thanks for clarifying. ;D ;D
