I have some upcoming travels in beginning October and my present passport is in a certain embassy for Schengen visa stamping. So, I'll get it back by around 15th September probably. So, I think I can apply for a new passport only after I am back from my travel after 10th October.

But i think u can take an apointment right now. Because in normal cases apointmnet are available after 1 to 2 months. So if u r applying now than u will get the apointment in the month of october itself. And if u apply in october than the appointment will come in the month of december.

Nope, I am currently in the USA. There seems to be no way to purchase a Canadapost prepaid mailer from inside the US.

Someone mentioned that they were able to purchase a mailer via amazon.ca. Searched on amazon, but couldn't find any sellers.

Not sure what to do!

Did you figure out any way - how to send the passport from USA to Canada ? I am also in the same boat

i am on h1-b visa in usa and i received my PER today

i am in US right now and i want to get the PCC from india for me and my wife.
how to get the PCC from india if a person is staying in USA?

what are my options ?
a. from indian embassy in new york
b. from india itself since my parents are there.

please let me knw which of the 2 options are acceptable by the CIC ??

FIrst of all congrats for getting RPRF and PCC request.. Yes it is completely normal katvees..

You may ask NDVO to extend the validity of your PCC as you need to obtain PCC from Iran..

Hi,

I have a request from NDVO for PCC & RPRF and NOT MR.
Also, they have given me only 45 days. I need to get PCC from Iran, which it would take more than 2 months. :-(

Looks different - RPRF before MR

I am worried whether they could extend my duration, if requested.

You mean appointment for new passport or PCC ?

You can also choose the PCC appointmnet in the month of october. I think first you check the appointmnet availability date on passportsevakedra. You might be awre that taking a appointment is also a big deal.

i went bank today, BOB (bank of baroda) to check the encashment status,
they says it will take $30 charge for me to inquiry about this encashment- it sounds ridiculous to me...firstly he was not even willing to look at my query...argued a lot...

Is that the real charge applicable ? or not at all ? throw some light here...

I received PER yesterday. I have to apply for a fresh passport in October as the present one has no empty pages. Is PCC issued on the basis of passport ? So, should I go for PCC after getting the new passport ?

Wait for 1 or 2 weeks.. you can then check with your bank about your DD encashment..

Very true...
But the thing is i never heard at this forum that file is received by DM...
Thats all...

Maybe the tracking box had a small space and so DM is initials for one of the usual people at CIO who signs for the applications. Relax I'm sure it will be fine

What you can do as well is to ask which canadian bank have they drawn it from and then call them and try to enquire. In my case my brother made a DD directly from TD bank and got the confirmation from them.

Well just stay positive by the end of next week PER seems possible for you. 8)
