We are in-process of preparing the package thru a consultant..i have few questions in mind
1. My consultant is planning to keep the principal applicant's (my husband's) form16's, sal slips, all promotion/hike letters, offer and relieving letters of all companies worked for, and so on. They are also keeping the above docs of spouse (mine) in the package. This looks too bulky..im doubtful if they are needed and whether they would add value
2. They are saying that we should not write the forms Addtn family information and Backgrnd declaration in pen (i.e print in black ink). They want it to only to be typed and added as an addtn sheet.

1. No need to send the spouse's employment details, it will not give you additional benefits. Better to keep the documents as much as less and avoid to send those documents which are not needed. And if you want to send than its also ok...Its your choice. Keep in mind to send the reference letter of your husband.
2. Data which are not fiited in the forms, it is better to use the additional sheets. Its a good practice.

No your employment specific documents are not required, this will only increase courier chargers nothing else. Also form16 of principle applicant is not required but if included might not harm.

It is preferrable to type all the forms on computer and printed out, all forms must be signed by principle applicant /applicant(as specified on the form)

The status on ECAS will be updated in around 2-3 days. And normally NDVO updates on Wednesday. The current wait time for an appointment at Regional Passport Office is 1 month .

you gotta be kidding him .... ! I think he'll be done by decemeber .... Don't rely on the SS for everything .... it doesn't take into account the slowdown of applications after the first month...

For Charge Date estimates, it actually does! And it does it very precisely, using the exact numbers of applications from the spreadsheet.

and increase in pace of processing by CIC to lead to lesser gaps between CC charging, PER, PCC, MR requests .....

CIC has been charging fees with a surprisingly constant pace on average since the start of FSWP 2014 - it's very clear when looking at the existing data closely.
So far the estimates made 2.5 months ago have been true +- a week, and they've been improved since that time to be even more precise.

Sorry if this sounds too logical, but there's no much room for earlier charge dates, unless CIC really does something to improve their speed.
Good thing, it's unlikely for the real charge date to be later than the "last charge date" indicated in the estimate.

No I have used DD.. But my Bank has not ben able to tell me if it is encashed or Not.. I took my DD from Axis Bank Here In India..

i am on h1-b visa in usa and i received my PER today

i am in US right now and i want to get the PCC from india for me and my wife.
how to get the PCC from india if a person is staying in USA?

what are my options ?
a. from indian embassy in new york
b. from india itself since my parents are there.

please let me knw which of the 2 options are acceptable by the CIC ??

From.my point of view 1 is the best option.
Even I have collected PCC from indian embassy in Chicago during my stay in Usa.
They have issued PCC within couple of hours. I think you should call indian embaasy in NY before visiting them personally.

1. Nope. Only principal applicant needs employment details. You dont need to attach yours.
2. Possibly type the most but write where you cant type.

Private bank is always more supporting than the government. However you can also try to contact their headoffice in your city or you may drop a mail to them.
