im going with my spouse and 1 year old kid..
2.im an indian citizen staying in saudi arabia..
im planning to move to U.S next year january..so if chose new delhi as visa office then do I need to cometo
New delhi to submit my paasports for stamping and for how long do I need to stay there?
ive got london also as an option to choose but I heard its processing time is very slow..

Experts pls advise..

Sorry for the late response....

Bro,

1. No u need not to select that one...

2. No need to write N/A on there....Select ur spouse and spouse boxes thats enough..

3. Yes London is slower compare to others...If u choose NDVO, then ur PP have to sent on New delhi...For FSW13 applicants with same situation- has sent their PP by their relatives/friends or gone to India by themselves....

On an avg- it took 2.5-3 month or over for getting PP back...:)

All the best..

is dis worrysome ???

his second line in ECAS was added on 27 august

Are you talking about yourself or any of your known ?

As far as i know, educational background must not match exactly with current work profile.
All is matter is the current job role and if it fits the NOC, ROLL ON...can apply
But you need complete work profile/duties listed as a Civil Engineer on company's LH and signed.

Is it ok to apply as civil engineer whereas my educational background is of mechanical engineering but I m performing civil engineer duties..does Cic check that applicant educational background must be related to profession.

Hi All,

I now got a reply from DELHIIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca for my email i sent on July-07-14 ;D for query on what are considered as settlement funds ( they are so quick in their reply aren't they :P). I know most of us are already aware of it. But i thought i will post it anyhow for the benefit of others. Note: they sent me a generic reply, and did not specifically answer my questions :P

My question to them:
Request you to kindly clarify which of the following unencumbered and readily transferable funds are acceptable for showing proof of funds(For Me & My spouse):

1. Provident Fund Outstanding - Lying with EPFO or Company Trust Fund
2. Insurance Linked Mutual Fund Outstanding Statement
3. Debentures

Kindly redirect us to the concerned authorities if you do not look in to such queries.

Their reply:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

The amount of funds you need to have in order to settle in Canada depends on the size of your family. The funds must be available to you and transferable to Canada. They must be unencumbered by debts or other obligations.

Number of family members Funds required
1 $11,115
2$13,837
3$17,011

Note: In terms of funds required, the number of the applicant's family members includes both accompanying and non-accompanying dependants.

Acceptable proof of funds are:
-bank accounts in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
-cashable investments in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
-cashable fixed deposits in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
-property valuations of property which is unencumbered by debt in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner.

Not acceptable are:
-bank accounts in someone else's name;
-bank accounts which are joint in your name and someone else (other than your accompanying spouse/common-law partner);
-bank accounts in the name of your spouse who is not accompanying you to Canada;
-vehicle valuations;
-jewellery valuations.

You are not required to carry your funds in cash when you arrive in Canada. You are, however, required to show documentary evidence that you have the funds available (in bank accounts or cashable investments), and that they can be transferred to Canada.

A port of entry officer in Canada may seek to confirm these funds before granting you permanent residence along with your dependants.

If you have arranged employment in Canada, you do not have to meet these financial requirements. Arranged employment means that you have an offer of indeterminate employment from an employer in Canada. You must be either currently working in that employment on a work permit in Canada, or have been issued a labour market opinion has must have been provided by the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC). In order to be exempt from the minimum funds requirement, the offer of employment must be genuine, the employment must not part-time or seasonal, the wages offered must be consistent with the prevailing wage rate for the occupation, and the working conditions must meet generally accepted Canadian standards.

Hi All,

I did a mistake in fee payment form. I put my kid fee section in "DEFINITION OF DEPENDENT CHILD BEFORE AUGUST 1, 2014" section, it should be in "Dependent child under 19, unmarried and not in a common-law relationship" section.

However, the amount is same in both the fields...$150

Could somebody please check this and tell me is it a majot mistake and my app will reject or not??

Thanks
Annie

OK !!

There is no reason to worry if all the documents/information submitted is in order. It might be a case of random pick up for checks by VO.

initially as a proof of fund i had provided bank balance certificate. If now, I want to show another resource as a proof of fund (by withdrawing money and put it under fixed deposit). Will it work?
