I have sent my application under noc 1123 today. I have the similar case as deepblue has about WES report:
My WES report says:
1. Crdential : Academic Transcript
Year : 2007
Awarded by: University of Mumbai
Inst Satus: Recognized
Admission Req: Secondary school graduation
Length of prog: 5 yrs
Specialization: Law
Canadian Equivalency : Three yrs of undergraduate study

2. Credential : Post graduate diploma
Year : 2008
Awarded: Xaviers inst of communication
Inst Status: Not Recognized
Admission Req: Bachelor Degree
Lenghth: One yr
Major: Journalism and Mass Communication
Canadian Equivalency : One yr of post secondary study at non recognize institute

My question is do they count my point as per the bachelor degree??? My application will be acceptable as my second degree mention min requirement of bachelor degree for journalism and mass communication???

Dear please contact WES if you got report from them as Three Years Undergraduate Study will not be recognized as this is my bitter experience last year and I also saw the same reason of rejection in the SS. Report should mention one of the description mentioned in the table in below link. As you will see there is no Three Years Undergraduate hence they will not give you marks. What I did this year, I contacted WES again & ask what is meant by Undergraduate study means please provide Canadian Equivalency then after two & half months of my question they give me new report & mentioned as Diploma 3 years which is mentioned in the table hence I will get marks.
So do the above before you submit application. You can check the points in following link.

Dear friend

Every application has different level of check / diff noc / diff positions / diff travel history n so on....
So that could be the reason for discrepancies although they receive file on the same date
(For example if person worked for one company , done thoroughly expected duties , pof is clean n clear , sent Pcc as well along with file , no more modifications / clarifications needed .... He/she gonna get final result sooner than person with multiple address / exp / multiple bank account / vague travel history n so onnnn..)

Since you sent it from Missisg. so I suppose your Visa Office must be CPC-Ottawa. Pls check your Forms n confirm what VO did u fill in ??

The Processing time for CPC- Ottawa is relevant for your Appln and not Sydney (be it NS or Aus.)

I have a question? The apps are sent to sydney nova scotia right? So which visa office is it considered? I m totally confused. I sent my app from missisuaga to cic sydney ns, so wat is the processing time. The processing time shows sydney australia? Any thoughts? Also i saw that the # of apps under 3012 NOC which registered nurses IS 64 as of nw.. I submitted my app on aug 25 and cic recieved on aug 28 wil i b in the cap or no? Pls suggest.

Yes you can submit the affidavit for the same that both names are same..

Dear Senior members.. please help.

In my marriage certificate, I adopted my husband's name as an extension and dropped my surname. It would be stupid to admit, but I had to do it because of Registrar. He was adamant to write something in the column "After marriage" and convinced us, it wouldn't change anything for me and we were in "Just-in-case" needed mindset. My passport has my original name, my husband's name is also listed in my passport and I would like to keep my maiden surname for life-time.

Would it be a problem to list my original name (I would be principal applicant) as we would be submitting marriage certificate for proof of relationship. Should I submit any affidavit along with application, indicating no name change? or should I indicate new name in alias column? Thanks in advance.

First of all please take ur IELTS and send your app ASAP.. as soon as you receive MR request from your local VO you can do your medical test.. This is how process goes on..

Hello everyone,

I'm not going to send my application for another two months because I need to take the IELTS, but I would like to get my medical examination out of the way. Can I take my medical exam with one of the designated medical practitioners before I receive a request to do so from my local visa office or do I have to wait until I receive the request? I realize that the results are only valid for 12 months but I think if everything goes to plan I should receive a request by this time next year.

Please wait for few more days.. today we got the news that one of our 7th May applicant received PER.. So probably within few days you will receive your PER..

dear seniors

it is a bit disappointing that i am 12may applicant and my DD was encashed 25th july as per confirmation from bank but till date no communication of any kind by cic....i am not finding any way out to contact as the help section of cic website is applicable after some sort of communication from cic....please suggest .....

Sorry to hear that... last week 1 Applicant was returned due to the same status... that too after being charged
(I don't remember correctly, pls refer to SS)

If you don't want to risk losing 550$ .. then get your Appln back. and go for ECA some other agency viz. ICAS, CES (10+ weeks TAT)
