To Indian applicants..

I read below economic times article and I am now worried about the credit card payment.. Does anybody has idea whether CIC transaction can be affected due to this new restriction or not..?

The article is not very clear as it mention that this new rule will specifically cover the overseas payment gateways.. but not very clear if it is only applicable to transactions in INR or also for foreign currency transactions..!!! Request some banking guy to clarify this matter..

Hello Experts,

I have sent my application on 12th June 2014 under 2173 NOC. My application was received on 16th June at CIC. Till date, I have not received any response from CIC. My DD is valid for 3 months. Though, bank is saying that your DD will be encashed anyways as they never received back due to this reason.

When I can expect any response from CIC regarding my application?

I mailed my application yesterday with UPS. Expect to be delivered by Friday.

Do they send an AOR by e-mail?

Unfortunately my wife removed all documents from my envelope and put it directly in UPS envelope where there is no NOC code, just "Federal Skilled Worker" as the recipient.

Am I in trouble????

What is the average time of CC/DD getting charged, i can see from various examples that CC and DD are charged before, and PER takes a while to be issued. So does that mean that CC/DD are charged in like 1-2months?

These rules would be for international swipe, and not for online transaction. This is as far as i have read about it.
Others who know about this can shed some more light

Don't worry...it is not a big deal...'fsw' is more than enough...

Please wait for a month or so you will get your news.. International DDs are valid for 6 months.. So no t to worry on that part.
