Hi guys ,

I am about to apply in fsw . But my job reference letters are 5 months old .

Is that mean i need to make new job reference letters with new dates ?

Please help
The current employer reference letter should preferably be updated.others have to be old

You are not right with that...

All of the reference letters I used were as old as 2 years. There is no time speficification for reference letters so long as they carry the right information.

You don't have the luxury of time to b knocking on doors of all companies you've worked in th past to be requesting for reference letter EVERYTIME.One is enough for a life time.
Congrats on your use of two year old documents, I'm sure this is good advice to give other applicants. Cheers.

Hi Sanjeev,

Yes as per SS - it takes avg. 100 days.
applicant from 15th may is charged recently on 30th Aug, and some folks from earlier week might not hv updated SS.

I am looking to change my job this month. Will it impact my application? It reached CIC on 26th May'14 and still pending processing

No impact!

So long as the person who signed the letter is able to communicate positively to any sort of verification from CIO.

Also should your application be accepted and transferred to your local VO, you should notify them with this new piece of information.

Guys.. I am not asking any questions this time...

I am asking for a tip this time !!!! How to control my nerve for this waiting period... I am 20th August applicant (NOC-2173)... I know I have a long period to wait.. but whether I am going to run out of cap limit or not.. this thought is killing me... so guys is there anyone who is on the same state like me... please suggest some tips so that at least I can sleep well :P

FYI

Canadian Prime Minister Highlights Importance of Indian Immigrants:
http://www.canadavisa.com/news/entry/canadian-prime-minister-highlights-importance-of-indian-immigrants-15-08-14.html

" The program was designed for Indians who have already travelled to Canada or the US."

One of my friend also applied on 18th August. He is also worried. His consultant inform him that his file might be returned if the cap is fulfilled for 2173. I guess it won't even take July candidates. The cap will be filled in June.

Sad. But True Fact. It is already near 200 till it started 20th May candidates.

guys,

While I was waiting in uncertainity over fate of my application, I got provisional residence visa to AU and so I have resigned to my job and booked my tickets for next month to AU.

In the mean time, I got PER mail just two days back from CIC reviving my hopes! So now I have to inform CIC about the facts that I have resigned my current job and going to AU. My family still styas back in my home country. I am taking PCC now before leaving to AU and am planning to do Meds in AU for myself.
Do you think this will cause any problem for the fate of visa's rest of the process? Canada is always my first choice and dont want to mess it up under any circumstances!!

Hi @ mr.hoque,

what if the answer doent favors' your question...it doesn't mean you will not sleep... :D
So CHEERS bro, have faith just keep hold on to more patience... 2173 is not that HOT, you will make it...Good luck
