I don't get it. Around 60 applicants are still not charged according to SS. I cannot believe that we all have errors in our apps. I was patient so far, but I have to admit, now I start to worry.

There are many applicants who do not update the SS...Additionally, why are you so worried...CIC is still working on apps from 12-16 may and if you are a DD person than you can only know your status from your bank or you have to wait till you get the PER email...

Re: PR application + Student Visa

CIC actually encourage people who got education in Canada to apply for PR. So there is no issue on this. In fact, i am thinking other way round. For your intention to live in Canada permanently, your student visa process may go through strict scrutiny. There is a conflict of dual intention. So, the question is if someone apply for PR, will he get approval for student Visa? I don't know the answer. Ask seniors or who got similar experiences.

I have few questions related to dual intent of student visa + PR application

1.) Received an admission letter from a university in Canada(Quebec, Montreal) for post graduation in Engineering (computer science). Supposed to join the college by January 5th 2015.
2.) Planning to courier the PR application (NOC 2174) by first week of September 2014 to CIC.
3.) Will be applying for a student visa in the following months before December 2014 and all dependent visa (spouse and two children)
4.) If study visa is approved, most likely will join the college by January 2015.

Please let me know whether I am eligible to apply for PR, while i have student visa.
I believe at present I am eligible, because I don't have any visa now.

But after I apply to CIC, most likely the verification process on my PR application will happen after Dec 2014 or Jan 2015. I would like to whether CIC will reject my PR on grounds that I have a student visa in my passport or I might have already landed in Canada with student visa.

I did checked the http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/intent.asp website, but somehow unclear about my case.

dont worry dear,
there are many people, who check/update SS after weeks...they just made their entry and thats it...i strongly suggest that dont relay totally on SS...have faith in GOD...my friend got PER, he was 7th may applicant, but still he didnt make any updation in SS...and i know nearly abt 20 people personaly who r in same situation as u r in now....jst wait n watch....wait is the key...

But if what you are saying is true, then how come many applications are returned (without CC Charge) with a reason that job duties are not matching ?

It has been mention in the forum a number of time, once again for u,
The CC/DD is charged after examining only the completeness of the app package and then the eligibility test like job duties and language and others are examined

i have filed under noc 2171 and 14may 2014 applicant.I have seen people application of may 15 & may 16 -2014 are getting charged.
I am have paid by Bank draft.

Tried calling CIC multiple times but did not get any response.dropped in a mail to CIC but still did not get any response.
Checked ECAS but displays no results

Checked with HDFC Bank but they say my dd has not been encashed....

Is there anyone on the forum whose Bank draft has been encashed for the application sent of May 14-2014 for NOC 2171

NOC is irrelevant here.

It takes time for bank to get the DD update. It has been noticed regularly that in PER e-mail DD encashment date is much more earlier than the bank's reported date. The time differences could vary from 2 days to 15 days. so wait. Game is not over yet. There are 51 applicants waiting for DD encashment news.

You can arrange with your supervisor to sign the letter, stamp it is not mandatory as per the CIC check list as they wrote about the stamp (If applicable)
