I am scared now, my application recvd on 22nd may, will it get picked in this year slot?Any idea what do you think? already 400+ applications accepted and 1 more week applications to be picked.

[size=9pt] Hi, It is more sensible to apply in 1123 and arrange reference letter even on A4 paper there from former senior / supervisor or even a colleague as a last resort. 2171 is on the edge if you have not already sent the file, as it seems!!! Plus provide a few supporting evidences as well.

One thing that I read on CIC's site is it is not 1000 successful cases for each NOC but merely their completion of checking of 1000 cases, which includes rejected ones too!!! And no I didn't save that link so I don't have that sh1tty link saved to paste...

Thank you very much for the good inputs. My only apprehension of using 1123 is that they might reject the reference letters as they are not the letter head. Although i am in touch with my superiors in my previous companies, they have moved onto different companies. I am planning to send my application in NOC 2171 tomorrow, do you still reckon it could be late. I have all the documents ready, just in case if i come to know that this is filled, i will quickly apply for the other one. What do you reckon?

Pardon me if im being a bit short sighted. Please point in the right direction.

Are you saying that there were applications from "last year" that were processed for FSW 2014 even before they started to look into "this year's" applicants from May 2014 ?

There were people waiting for fsw14 with ready files .. Which they logged on as soon as may1st .
Technically they are fsw14 applicants but were prepared well before .

I think the rejected cases may be after receiving PER. They may not be counting files returned or with NER.

Looks like the cap updates are 'roughly' til' May 14th because there are still some PERs they will issue for applications received prior to May 14th. You are right, for these two NOCs the sub-caps would be filled before the end of June if they received 20 applications/business day for these NOCs on average after May 14th until end June. Here are some further deliberations on this very same topic from another forum...

I think the caps are being updated at the rate of about 90 applications every week. Expecting it to slow down over the period of the next few weeks.. I am expecting an average of 60-70apps per week. That makes it about 10 weeks till the CAPs fill up. Expecting these HOT NOCs will fill up by Aug end on a conservative approach. Quite possible that they may go on till August end ..... I suggest you shouldnt put such aggressive numbers out there .... It would demoralize people....... Cheers to a positive attitude .. !

Hmmm so you think they gonna finish next 600 numbers in this week?
What I observed in last week not even 100 numbers added up ... And this gonna decrease in every coming consecutive week.
