Hi Seniors,

Attempt to charge my CC for the 1st time on august 20 was unsuccessful due to international limit issues... i have rectified the same by getting in touch with my banker... Also i mailed CIC on the same date requesting to charge my CC again... Still no reply from them and no charge on my CC.... :-[ >:(

I am a May 14th Applicant under NOC 1112.

Give it a few days, and you will be fine - they usually attempt charge in 3 to 5 working days and they try for 3 times at a minimum. :)

Hi Fellas,

I am from India and I am currently in the process of getting my documents in order.
The application documents would consist of originals(e.g. IELTS score) and photocopies of the documents(pretty much everything else).

Kindly let me know whether I need to get these photocopies attested/notarized?
I have checked the CIC website and I could not specifically find any requirement for notarized documents.

I have asked my friends in person too. Some of their agents say that it is necessary to get the photocopies notarized, some say it is not.
Please let me know if their is a stringent requirement from the CIC that we get the photocopies we submit notarized before we submit them.

Also, my uncle in Canada is going to send photocopies of his Citizenship documents, etc. to include in my application. Does he need to get those photocopies notoarized too
before sending them to me?

Please let me know

Thanks a lot in advance to anyone that helps. :)

Best

Dear

Go thorugh IMM 7000, guide for PR- FSWP on cic site
which states follows

Certified true copies
To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the
photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.
Who can certify copies?
Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:
In Canada:
a commissioner of oaths (authority to certify varies by province and territory)
a notary public
a justice of the peace
Outside Canada:
a judge
a magistrate
a notary public
an officer of a court of justice
a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living
Family members may not certify copies of your documents.

[size=9pt] That sounds simple. The principal applicant is the sponsor while the common-law partner accompanying is the co-signer. Case is when they are accompanying as a common-law partner. Clear now? ::)

I think so...So co-signer means just an accompanying common-law. We though it had to do with the common-law applying as well as the main applicant....
Thank you.
