As per the Question/Answer 4. under this URL .. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp I guess you can select either of the two.

"Question 4
Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:
•your country of nationality, or
•the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year.
"

So, I guess you can select NDVO as your Visa Office because offcourse Singapore Office is taking so much time.. Ashif and others are already facing that..
But offcourse you will have that risk that you will have to submit your passport at NDVO for visa and sometime it takes time as per the past cases...It may take a week to a month or may be more... I am not sure if at the time of submitting the passport we can mention or not that we have to travel to some other country and they can expedite or consider and stamp the visa in couple of days and return it.. That we donot know... Seniors any comments..

I am really confused now what to do and which option to go with? If i choose singapore i will be stuck waiting for the processing to start and if i choose New Delhi, then i might stuck there in India and might not be able to come back without passport and that can impact my job here...please suggest which option i should go with?

Hey Ashif/Century/Other veterans of this forum,

New guys like myself are also aiding in solutions to quite a few queries on the forum takia bit of the load off you guys .... Actually the place where I work, these sites are banned(look like govt sites) and smartphones are not allowed otherwise my posts would be a lot more regular .... So I do check and reply to a few before going to work and after coming back from work ...

[size=9pt] Mate, With a 6 month validity DD you need not worry, it is CIC that needs to be worried in this case. You should relax, they will process before expiry, that's a guarantee! Good luck!

Dear visitor visa is for six months even with multiple entry you cannot stay for more than six months. However for selecting cpco you should be legally entered in canada for atleast one year. You cannot select cpc-o with tourist visa

Thanks Dear ! First, multiple visa has no six months limitation. Second, when one enters into Canada at the airport he/she will be issued a permit to stay at Canada that permit is renewable even as a visitor. So you can stay more than six months. Third, if you apply for PR and once you get a PER in Canada, you can apply for a work permit because you are eligible to stay until your PR final decision is made.

I am now Really Worried looking at the Speed CIC is Processing the Apps coz My App Reached on June 5th and my DD will expire on 8th Nov'14 (6 Months) as they are still processing 15th May Apps and i think by the time they start processing 5th June Apps our DD might have been expired.

I suppose the number of application filled might get reduced day by day from mid week of May. So no worries your DD will be through.

If ur application recd date is after 14th may then will have to wait for few more days as CIC is now processing 12th to 15th May applicant.

This is illegal to send passport with someone out of the country. Not recommended.

[size=9pt] Hi, Why can't you arrange with some friend / family / acquaintance to send passport to India - I mean is that option not available to you? Asking since I don't understand what is it that the case entails. cheers!
