Someone seems to be busierrrrrrrrrrr than Minister Kenny and really pissed off with his Congressmen. Zirconia is recommended to solidify the appetite ;D ;D for humour.

@ CA2510
Nobody is preaching you, it was just a suggestion from Senior forum member. First charge for 15th May was updated in spreadsheet on 21st August and as many nine 15th May applicants I can see in the SS, who have been charged fee. I don't know how could you not find these applicants in SS :o :o :o :o.

One reason could be deferred uploading in your area with PG warning , LOL : This transmission is censored and come with child lock, some content will be blurred... :P :P :P :P :P (kidding) !!!!!

BTW, what is your name in SS. It seems, it is censored in my town.

Need urgent help/advice!!!!

My fathers name is Satyanarayana. In all the documents(10th, intermediate, passport) its spelt correctly. But in birth certificate, its spelt as Sathyanarayana with an extra 'h' :(. Will that be an issue ?

Kindly advice

My birth certificate is in Hindi and I am getting it translated by a translation agency with a certified stamp of translation agency . Do I need to get it notarised also

The Document Checklist says "If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the original version."

If the translation has only the stamp of the agency, I would have it notarized by a notary public to make it look official and professional. It can't cost that much to have it notarized -- after having spent so much already for your application!

Application forms are straight forward for any person with reasonable level education of which you have. Plus the forum is full of people who applied without consultants and eager to give you help. The process of applying yourself is laborious and if you don't have the time (like me) I would encourage you to look for a consultant. There are good consultants around and also bad consultants. Read reviews first before committing. If you are choosing a consultant in Canada make sure he is in good standing with CIC, that means, he will submit applications for you and sign them. If a consultant is not in good standing with CIC I would suggest you tread carefully.

if the translation agency also have authority to notarise then they will do it in translated copy..... so i guess the stamp would work ..

I would send an affidavit to explain the discrepancy.

Hello,

1)I had shown a bank balance of $12500 and since its a long process which may take more than a year, can i move this money into fixed deposit now? and when asked can i show fixed deposits as POF.

2) Can these FD's be kept under me and my dad's name? Mean primary and secondary holders.

Thanks.

2) Can these FD's be kept under me and my dad's name? ------>The name should be yours and/or spouse name

Thanks.

Guys,

How long does it take for FBI to provide me a identity history summary check report? I see the time line as 30 calender days, however on some websites i see as 16-18 weeks.

Does any one applied for FBI report. If yes, please let me know how long does it take for them to provide my report.

Your starting point should be the official CIC website which has ALL the information you need. Look at the Document Checklist, Instruction Guide, Eligibility Requirements, etc. You really don't need to hire a consultant if you spend the time to read up on the rules, regulations and requirements. FWSP is very straightforward similar to what the UK had with HSMP; it is not as arduous as applying for a 'Green Card' in the US based on employment for which it would be advisable to hire an immigration lawyer.

1. Yes

2. Not recommended, if its your father's money u shud not have shown it as ur settlement fund. If ur father has gifted u tht money, y he want his name on the FD? If u want to have secondary beneficiary for some reason, have it on ur spouse name (as she is dependent applicant)

Perfect answer.

@ CanOl

I would say u r one of the most active member, as already reached 230+ posts in 2 weeks

There is no perfect answer, and even the most well written asnwer may not satisfy the person as usually ppl look for answer which satisfy their situation. Your target should be a Useful answer.

The litmus test for a "useful answer" is quality of follow-up questions and comments by others. If there is NO comment by others (especially seniors), ur response is deemed useful. If some useful comment/proof is added, try to incorporate it next time.

All the Best!!!

Thanks Shah. Actually was worried that no senior members were topping up on my responses. But as per your message, I should now take this positively.

The reason i want to keep this in my Dad's name is for tax reasons as i already cross the income tax slab. Am single applicant not married so spouse is not an option, unless, otherwise i wanna get married now, which most likely not gonna happen for a few years :P
