In my country:
Primary = 1 to 5
Secondary = 6 to 12
Post secondary = after 12

Not sure when in India, primary education finished, possibly class 7.

In that case,
Primary = 7 years (1 to 7)
Secondary = 5 years (8 to 12)
post secondary = Rest of the years

Century,

In India, Primary is actually from 1-4, Secondary from 5-10, higher secondary from 11-12, then graduation / diploma and then masters / higher diploma.

But Consultants generally ask to write as you have rightly mentioned, considering Canadian equivalency.
Primary = 7 years (1 to 7)
Secondary = 5 years (8 to 12)
post secondary = Rest of the years

Don't think writing differently will make any difference though.

No. They have to be in your name or jointly in your and your dependent's name accompanying you.

Agreed totally. Writing differently will not affect anything.

Thanks CanOl...BTW I am a 26 year old with nearly 3 years of work-ex:16 months as a S/W engineer and 16 months as a Media professional (this is the NOC for which I intended to apply.....Will definitely try my luck this year and will give my best possible attempt for the IELTS exam scheduled on Sep 6th..

Finally......This forum is definitely worth 100 consultants :) Thanks guys for the guidance....

Thanks Canadian. You definitely have a lot of years on your hands to increase no. of points. Have you considered your spouse's IELTS (in case married) which may fetch you additional 5 points for adaptability ? And she just has to score CLB4 (L-4.5 R-3.5 W-4 S-4 ). This will make up for the 2 points lost for education ECA.

Also note that your IELTS result will be valid for 2 years time. So will be handy next year also in case you do not qualify this year. getting 24 points in IELTS for self is not at all difficult if you have studied in a good English medium school.

[size=9pt] Hi binuky, Well, we are hoping to get your good news soon as you are among the early ones on the SS. Plus you have always been able to get your way with CIC :P i.e. force them into complete submission LOL. So you please tell us when next MR cases for NDVO will be happening dear, especially yours! :)Yes, you guys should see ECAS update anytime soon, good luck dear! :)

Oh... you are remembering me well. Good.. now i am little behind. Eventhough im 5 th may applicant, my delayed at cio due to wes report online verification issue. My PER date 9 th july. Thats why there are about 10 ppl ahead in NDVO. My question is a fact based upon delhi2173 timeline of processing the other 10 ecas status updated before these days or delhi2173 is file is 200 percentage accurate, so they passed the file in first review.

Please comment on this also.

Dear Canadian,
I will suggest you to contact WES and asked them what is the reason of no recognizing your Master degree institution?
Last year I my file got rejected due to their incorrect wording for my education as they mention Canadian Equivalency as Two Years Undergraduate which was no where mentioned in CIC guide lines hence reviewing officer give me 5 marks for education only. Though I hired a consultant last year but he also was not able to recognize this mistake in WES report. When FSWP 14 came I just contacted WES again & asked them what is my education Canadian Equivalence then they opened my file again & put under review for more than 2 months & after 2.5 months they update my status & give me new report with Canadian equivalency as Diploma Two Years which as per CIC guidelines will fetch 19 marks hence I reapplied again at the end of July this year & now very optimistic that i will get through. So check with them again if you are not convinced with their evaluation.

Dear Seniors,

My application for FSW was delivered on May 5, 2014. But so far no reply . I called CIC on 1-613-944-4000 after being on hold for 20 minutes they told me to send email an email. I requested them the update status of my application or if I can get my UCI number . But could not get.

Could you advise on what number I can call CIC to know the status of my app.

Many Thanks.

Friends

need an advise.

I am a May 12 applicant, noc 1112, cc. applied from Muscat, Oman. (Indian national)

cc not charged yet, so am assuming would have been rejected.

There have been some mistakes on the form with regards to birth certificate. I submitted a letter issued by indian embassy muscat, stating, quote, as per entries in passport, dob is x and name of parents are a and b. this is issued as per request of jaspal singh, unquote, as I dont have a birth certificate, and didnt attach an affidavit.

Have got my form readied with noc 0111 (there is some job overlap).

do you suggest i send it now, or wait for a few more days.

Read about a 12 may cc getting charged on friday.

is there any 12 may cc app awaiting ?

pls advise.

regards
