hi everyone.. i'm new on this thread, but as i read some of your posts, correct me if im wrong, most of you if not all of you are Canadian Immigrant Applicants under Technically Skilled Applicants, right?

I was one of you before and I was one of the luckiest applicant 'coz it took less than 2 years (from the orientation day of application up to landing here in Canada with Landed Permanent Resident status..) to be here in Canada... it takes lots of courage, money and determination...

Ths is not to disaapoint you, but rather to give warning or to tell the "real thing" happening here... all your "qualiffications" will allow you to land here in Canada... but... those will be useless when you start using those to apply a job. I'm under NOC 2232 qualification but all hiring managers here will ask you if you had a "Canadian Experience" with regards to your area of specialty... if none, you're done... very few who got lucky to be hired as their proffesion here.. to be competetive, you will have to "upgrade" your proffesion by going back to school which is very expensive here. You can have "Student Loan" - payment for your schooling and allowance for you while attending school, but after school, you have to "volunteer" to have a "Canadian Experience"... so, by the time you landed on your "dream job" here, you're on a deep debt... >:(

What im trying to tell you is that don't expect to have your dream job here right after you landed here... there are so many Landed Internationally Trained Proffesionals here working as a "cleeaner"... prepare your self for worst scenario here... you cant here these things from CIC...

Good luck everyone....

Agree with you.+1 for that. But it is a fact that no matter wherever you go, you initially you have to go through hardship, and by initially I mean minimum 2-3 years for sure. If we start discussing this issues it is going to be a never ending debate.

P.S.:

Before coming to Canada: Canada is my Dream land.

After few months of coming to Canada: My home country is my dream land.

Hi Seniors,

My application file date is 18 Jul 2014. SO i have 2 months to go before i get per email.
Once my file is transferred to New Delhi office, they will ask me for PCC to be submitted in two months.
Since i have stayed more then 6 months in Japan, and to get Japan PCC, it takes more then 2 months.

So what should i do in that case?

Even if i apply for PCC in Japan embassy, they will ask me to provide the evidence that i really need the PCC which i dont have right now.

( I think CIO/new Delhi officers might be knowing that Japan takes more then 2 months to provide the PCC, so can we get any flexibility here?)

If someone has not shown ones actual liabilities, then it will come under MISREPRESENTATION resulting in being bared to enter Canada for 5 yrs ........ it can by caught at VO background check.

If u don't have any, then no problem...... by default its considered NIL. They are more concerned abt Settlement Funds.

Just a little correction. Misrepresentation results in ban to Canada for 2 years not 5.

Ya, true i also suspect tht its a fake account who has take so much pain to post "111" post before making the claim ......... even if u look carefully at the number "111" "a Nelson" seems like a fake number .... doesn't it? It needs watchful eye of someone like you & Me to identify such manipulation.

I vividly remember, how much everyone doubted the first guy reporting CC charge............. but then the second, thrid, and fourth proved the first guy "WRONG" ............ my friend, calling others "FAKE" is the best route for human mind to overcome its anxiety, try to overcome this tendency and start trusting ppl (unless proven guilty) as thats how Kanadian do ........... All the Best!!!

I think that for FSW 2014 NDVO may have started new process of not sending AOR's as no one has received any yet. Some applicants of May 1st and 2nd are worried about their applications, Guys this is a good news and you don't need to worry. As every case is different and Visa Officer is different. Take an example if a applicant is single his background check may require less time than a married applicant with a kid............
So Chill, you will receive good news soon.......

wow, 2 years is still a long time...

@GOKU...

that's what i'm trying to tell you... and i think everyone here is aware of the situation here... i just dont want anyone of you will be disappointed after 1-4 years after you landed here... there are so many Landed Immigrants here who are going back to their country because of the unexpected situations here...

hi mrdrs,
it is correct as one of my friend who landed by this Jan was asked in most of the places that whether he has any Canadian experience. I hope most of us are aware of it. if your profession has any control board or body in Canada, try to register with them before you land as it will help you a bit to reduce your tension after landing. good luck to all

Agree with you. +1 for you. Even enrolling with professional bodies gets you help with getting good job.

P.S. for all who are coming to Canada as Accountant: Once you are in Canada, get your self enrolled in CGA program. You will get credit towards your Master & Bachelors in Accounting or dual (accounting & finance) done in your home country by presenting a copy of WES report. They will assess you on basis of WES and then they will tell you how much credit you get.

The reason I am telling you is many employer prefer employees who are perusing CGA/CFA/CPA/CMA/CPA(Payroll). All you have to do is get your self enrolled and write that you are working towards a particular designation, and trust things will get lot easier for you.

Yeah I know those situations very well. I have seen many people going back to home country just because of that reason. I am in Canada from past 4 years. Must share that today I completed exactly 4 years in Canada. lol.
