Congratulations to all those who got PER and the CC/DD charged!

what happens if one doesn't declare his/her liabilities???

hi everyone.. i'm new on this thread, but as i read some of your posts, correct me if im wrong, most of you if not all of you are Canadian Immigrant Applicants under Technically Skilled Applicants, right?

I was one of you before and I was one of the luckiest applicant 'coz it took less than 2 years (from the orientation day of application up to landing here in Canada with Landed Permanent Resident status..) to be here in Canada... it takes lots of courage, money and determination...

Ths is not to disaapoint you, but rather to give warning or to tell the "real thing" happening here... all your "qualiffications" will allow you to land here in Canada... but... those will be useless when you start using those to apply a job. I'm under NOC 2232 qualification but all hiring managers here will ask you if you had a "Canadian Experience" with regards to your area of specialty... if none, you're done... very few who got lucky to be hired as their proffesion here.. to be competetive, you will have to "upgrade" your proffesion by going back to school which is very expensive here. You can have "Student Loan" - payment for your schooling and allowance for you while attending school, but after school, you have to "volunteer" to have a "Canadian Experience"... so, by the time you landed on your "dream job" here, you're on a deep debt... >:(

What im trying to tell you is that don't expect to have your dream job here right after you landed here... there are so many Landed Internationally Trained Proffesionals here working as a "cleeaner"... prepare your self for worst scenario here... you cant here these things from CIC...

Good luck everyone....

You never know to what extent the Visa office can do a background check..and in those checks if the liabilities resurface.. you should be ready with an explanation IMO :-X

Oscar,

can you please do me a favour?

Please tell CIC to send my PER and do give a deadline.

This waiting is ... :-X

hi mrdrs,
it is correct as one of my friend who landed by this Jan was asked in most of the places that whether he has any Canadian experience. I hope most of us are aware of it. if your profession has any control board or body in Canada, try to register with them before you land as it will help you a bit to reduce your tension after landing. good luck to all

Thanks dear for the information ... i know that it will take some time or may be some year 1-2 , to settle there and get good job.
But what ever it will be , will be better then what we have currently here. That's why we applied --" To get something better".

@ ambrosio

If someone has not shown ones actual liabilities, then it will come under MISREPRESENTATION resulting in being bared to enter Canada for 5 yrs ........ it can by caught at VO background check.

If u don't have any, then no problem...... by default its considered NIL. They are more concerned abt Settlement Funds.

thanks red999 and shah... what ifi have:
a) propert worth $15,000,
b) liquid fund $15,000
c)liability is $7,000 from personal bank loan used to pay property (not home loan/mortgage)

my dillema is will my personal bank loan have a negative impact on my settlement fund???
