Okay i have a question for my friend...

He repeated class XIth so there is a gap of an extra year between his Xth and XIIth...he has already filed his application but forgot to mention about this gap and he just told this to me today...is there any option left or will his file be returned/rejected?

Brother,

I appreciate ur analysis bro.....:)

I am not arguing about the risk factor of this hot NOC...

But what is my opinion is that - for the hot NOCs like 1112 and 2174 etc. initial app submission rate will not be continued to the end of this NOCs ....So frequency will not be uniformed....Submission rate will drop now definitely....So applicants of july may also be included on the CAP.... :D

Just hope for the best and pray for each other........

Thanks Ashif for your positive words ... Keeping my hope alive !! Application recieved on 20th July Noc1112:(

Seniors, a query. I'm a june 19th applicant, NOC 0013. By all appearances, our cc charge date would be in Nov/Dec. If I'm optimistic, I can expect a positive decision by the 3rd quarter of 2015. Now the query is, my wife is doing a PhD with a university whose PhD programme is affiliated with McGill University. She has the option of tranferring her degree to McGill, either in 2015 or 2016. The thing is, if this immigration thing does go through, inshallah, we would be required to be in Canada, but we can't be in Quebec. (McGill is in Montreal, Quebec btw). So in that case, if we opt for the transfer programme, how would we work around living in Quebec, while on FSW? Please note that as spouse of a PhD student, I would still be allowed to work fulltime. I just don't know if time spent in Quebec after getting PR for FSW would count towards the time span required to stay in Canada to get citizenship. Any thoughts? Oscar, Century, Shah, anyone?

There is no restriction of not moving to Quebec if you got your immigration through FSW. But instead of moving to Quebec after landing, better option is landing somewhere outside Quebec stay their for like 6-12 months and then move to Quebec.

Regarding Canadian Citizenship, its minimum requirement say you have to live in Canada (includes Quebec as well) for 4 out of 6 years (revised rules for Canadian Citizenship after Bill C-24 was passed in parliament). Go through below link regarding Citizenship Act:

Finally Received PER email ( just 30 minutes ago) ;D ;D... I was a bit worried... I guess it longer time than other 8th May applicants because of my work experience letter documentation

Application Received 8th May 2014
CC Charged : 9th of July
PER received : 19th August 2014

always when applying think logical and provide every evidence that you can provide to show why...

Here is my previous posts about my work experience letter:
"
Work experience letter

my company gave me an experience letter without duties, so I printed the email traffic between my ex boss and HR and myself to proof that my 1st company policy does not allow to provide experience letter. email traffic was on
I have added a cover letter stating why my duties are not included in my 1st company letter
my first company just provided a basic letter that MR X worked from ... to .... as Tittle etc...

"

"my self calculated points were 69 including my first company. All of my experience came from the first company the second and the present company i worked for is less than a year which doesn't count."

@ S7

Congratulations & +1 for sharing valuable info

Will appreciate if u clarify following for benefit of all

1. Is ur experience in 1st company (which did not provide duties) the only experience, which qualify under applied NOC?
I have another experience at my second company( present company ) which is less than a year.

2. Do u achieve 67 points, even if the experience in 1st company is ignored?
No I do not achieve 67 points if i exclude my 1st company experience

3. Whats the duration of your experience in 1st Company and whats ur total experience in applied NOC?
8+ years

4. How reputable is ur 1st company?
its a multi national american company Which has has a branch in canada as well

5. What was ur Job Title in 1st company? What i want to that to what extent ur self declared job duties are supported by your Job Title?.

In "Additional Dependants/Declaration Form" (IMM0008DEP), if I don't have any dependant other than those mentioned in the Generic Form, what should I do... Should I leave this form Blank? Should I include blank form in Application Package?

Yes you are right...the ideal case would have been Xth in 2004 and XIIth in 2006 that is what is disturbing him...

He wanted to ask that if that one year of an ideal case would create a problem for him...because he forgot to explain it...

[size=9pt] I am guessing in the education section he would have shown like for e.g. Xth in 2004 and XIIth in 2007, so that itself takes care of the gap. Don't understand what else do you mean by covering the gap in the form...please explain if I did not get it right :)

@ Shah & Goku

Thanks a lot for your thoughts. Appreciate the input. Shah bro, you are indeed 100% correct that french is not my first, second, tenth or millionth language. However, my lady is quite well conversant in French . So that, in addition to a PhD from McGill might make Montreal a good option for us permanently. But lets see. Its too early to start planning. We'll cross the bridge when we get to it. Thanks again for your insight.

@ Carpediem

Its tricky question,

1. U rightly highlighted, FSW is not for settling in Canada, but does PhD for McGill means that u want to settle in Quebec.... i don't think so, specially if French is not second language (99% sure its not)....ur spouse is not going to McGill by totally free will.... its only becasue of limited option (affiliation of her actual univ.) So u won't have any problem.

2. PR time is time spent ANYWHERE in CANADA, so u shud not have any problem. Specially, while ur spouse is doing her PhD. After tht it may create issues.

3. However, as u intend to live outside, i wud suggest if possible, try searching job outside Quebec as it may get problematic for u to move from quebec later.

4. Move to Canada, may allow u to change ur VO to CPC-O, which could be lot faster than ur current VO,

5. No idea abt transferability of PhD to other uni
